Seems like the guy was picky in choosing targets and wasn't an indiscriminate shooter. Can't interpret it as anything but a deliberate hunting of Asians. Unless the whole are is populated by Asian folks. Looks like a hate crime from what we know as of now.

I find the timing rather a bit ironic because the senate had introduced some more gun bills.

Oh c'mon. Overreact much? I'll bet you that I own a hell of a lot more guns than you do & I'm not the least bit worried that this incident is going to cause Joe Biden or any other agent of our government to come for our guns. I guarantee you it's not going to happen. So, relax.

No offense, my homie...but your gun ownership is due to recent inheritance. It's entirely divorced from sweating bullets over decades of wondering which of your firearms will suddenly be legislated into making you a felon. Simply put, you're not a guy who has his pulse on the finger of legislation.

This LOOKS like a hate crime to me folks. All we know for sure is that he targeted Asian massage parlors. It looks like 6 of the 8 victims were Asian. He went into Asian massage parlors in the Atlanta area and shot 8 people dead. This is absolutely terrible. We MUST stop hate crimes and hateful rhetoric in this country. It's no coincidence Asians are being targeted after the misinformation Trump spread about the coronavirus. Disgusting.

And that is only one Spa he shot up. He shot up others as well.

True. Points well taken. But it's still in my best interests for the laws in my state to remain as they are. And I definitely don't see them changing because of these shootings in Atlanta. At this point, we don't even know what sort of firearm was used. Once we do that will tell us a lot about what the reaction is going to be from the anti-gun people.
