Lol I went to my bit torrent site I go to for this stuff to search for this, downloaded the torrent, but it turns out I already downloaded this book just over 2 years ago. Just never read it, I have over 100 books on the subject.

Looks interesting, I'll try to read it when I get the time.

It will do nothing to explain the mechanism at work (he doesn't claim to understand it), but it correlates historical events with the archetypal, dynamic properties of hard planetary alignments which were present at that time.

The book is centered mostly on Uranus (Promethean in nature).

Tarnas' other book is one of the better ones in my collection as well (Passion of the Western Mind), it's an orthodox intellectual history of the West, nothing astrological or mystical. Cosmos and Psyche is basically that same intellectual history of the west written with the backdrop of the particular astrological conditions in mind when that history occurred. Quite breathtaking in scope and well written.

Science and Mathematics were created and developed by occultists/alchemists, without ppl who had these beliefs neither would be anywhere near as advanced as they are today.

Saying it's just for women is retarded since women didn't even have access to this kind of stuff until very recently in history, before that they were too busy taking care of children and in the kitchen.

They were a bunch of creationist, occultist, alchemist, astrologists who despite these beliefs achieved something great (or horrible). So the fact that they believed in astrology doesn't really give any extra credibility to this silly pseudo-science.

In science you make an observation or assemble a body of data or knowledge, then proceed through analysis, experiment, etc.

The book is on the order of the former, ie. it is an attempt to assemble a large body of data from which we can proceed to discover the mechanism at work if any.

Let me give you a hint regardless. If you want to give astrology some credibility (which it doesn't deserve), I don't think "look at all these alchemists who believed in astrology" is a good argument really.
