I mean this is MMA and odd things happen like Corey Anderson getting a KO and stuff but come on....


Fig is head and shoulders better everywhere than this guy.

I even venture to say that Joe Olivi would tool Moreno.


I don’t see this fight going past 2 rounds unless Fig gets injured during his walk up to he Octagon.

Anyone think Moreno has an advantage somewhere??

I tend to agree Fig is better everywhere. However, Moreno is tough and solid all around with good cardio. This fight gets very interesting if Moreno can survive the initial onslaught. Figueiredo cuts a ton of weight and has done so twice in a short period of time. He also has a very explosive style. So there’s reason to believe Fig could slow down the longer this fight goes and Moreno could take over. It’s enough intrigue to keep the fight interesting in my opinion.
 
Morano has a chance if he can get to the 4th and 5th rounds.
 
Moreno is a cool ass dude, but I think he gets stopped. He is good, but he is not great anywhere, apart from cardio and toughness (which COULD pose problem in the later rounds if it gets so far).
 
I think Moreno has bette cardio and arguably better fundamentals at boxing(i'm not sure about this).. Figgy is so aggressive though it could be too much for anyone.
Heart, Grit, Determination from Moreno and we'll see, should be a banger.

Figgy has more heart, grit, determination and skill that anybody. Hoping Moreno does not suffer a prolonged living death.
 
Agreed, i dont see an upset here. Figgy might even stomp him, dude is violent as fuck.

In round 1 maybe, he's rarely ever been taken to deep waters, and when he was Formiga happened... Moreno has been in many scraps, has one fight that went to the 4th and one that went 5 rounds.

Jarred Brooks took him to a split decision lol. More people thought Brooks won.

Guy puts on a mexican pace and is willing to go for war.
Very good skill set overall...
But just cardio isnt enough to beat Fig...you need more and Moreno has cardio, toughness and skills...


I'm not favoring him in this fight but i also dont count him out heavily.
I think he will surprise a couple of posters here...and gain new fans.

Looking at some posts here...and it is pretty clear how much this guy is flying under their radar!...most say Fig had 2 weight cuts in such short time...
Moreno fought at the same Event Fig just did...

I think he will definetly do better than JoeB and Perez...
 
Cardio and toughness/mentality is what makes Moreno a live dog. Plus he's not intimidated of Fig, Fig saw that in the staredown when Moreno smiled at him and nodded at him and said "I'm ready" and gave him a fist bump.

Fig is still the favorite, but don't count Moreno out. His toughness and mentality can put added stress to Fig the longer the fight goes which can break Fig's confidence.
 
I agree with the general consensus. If it goes to the championship rounds, it leans in the favor of Moreno.
 
I dunno, Moreno is a Mexican fight meaning high pace, cardio and can absorb a ton of punishment and keep coming. Figgy puts so much into every punch, if he doesn't get Moreno out of there early, I'd favor Moreno. Moreno is a legit opponent.
