I agree with you that the hate he has received is crazy since he got fouled in the first place.

However, Tom isn't doing himself any favours by posting his medical reports and his adventures with Abu Dhabi hospital. He comes across as though he is trying to 'justify' his decision to throw in the towel. He got fouled so he should just lay low and recover.

This is my entire issue with Tom. Obviously he got fouled and if it truly was that bad then he had every right to call it off.


What I absolutely cannot wrap my head around is that he keeps trying to justify his decision when it does not need justifying at all. If your eyesight were truly compromised, you don't need to back it up to the whole world.
