Aspinall teases Pereira fight?

so you kind of have two fan favorite fighters in aspinal and Pereira just floating around aimlessly at the moment.
Yeah,

I mean they could always do Roundtree jr or Adesanya vs Pereira. there are options.

Aspinall is trying to get an easy pay day instead of fighting Gane. I think Aspinall takes Gane easily but maybe he isn't so confident in himself. Seeing Jan control Perreira so easily at LHW must make Aspinall think at HW it will be a walk in the park for him to beat perreira.

Maybe, but pereira got brutally ko'd by izzy and fought again 3 months later.
Kickboxers are different. Most of those dudes have hundreds of fights. I don't know how. MMA fighters are shot and chinny at 30 fights and you have kickboxers with 100+ fights under their belts still in their prime.

I have zero interest in this fight. A champ with ZERO defenses, not defending his belt, but fighting an interim champ who will just take him down and tap him like he did Volkov. Even if Pereira wins hes not truly a triple-champ so there goes that storyline. There's no beef & Aspinall has the personality of instant potatoes so it's not even going to sell well. UFC 300 can be just fine without this nonsensical division clogging matchup. By the time Pereira comes back to 205 Ankalaev, Jamahal, & Rakic will be deserving of a title shot. Hell Khalil is 1 good win away. But yeah let's fuck up the division just as it's gaining steam.
Aspinall has plenty of charisma, not sure what you are talking about.

Imagine if Pereira was to win....we have American true champ Bones Jon Jones and Immigrant-American Paper Champ Poatan Pereira, train by American Coach Glover.

Quite a big win for the USA but I wish Canadan media was not put American warrior always against UK #battle brother. But that was topic for war room so I no say anything
......?

I like it. The occasion and the fact that it's champ vs champ makes it worthwhile for Aspinall and Poatan gets a chance to be the first triple champ. UFC needs to get value out of Poatan while he still has it. Plenty to gain for both fighters.

Add in Conor vs Nate (sorry Chandler) and Izzy vs Khamzat and we've got the makings of an epic card.

If Pereira were to win any title at HW, even interim, he’d pretty much be the combat sports GOAT. Especially against a stud like Aspinall. Has anyone else even challenged for titles in 3 UFC divisions?

That being said, Aspinall would be a nightmare match up for him.

More stunt shit? It seems there is like no effort or desire at all to have stable or dominant champions defending against contenders- just constant parody. Just a crap shoot sport. I don't like it; it isn't the way a sport should go.

That said, it would be more entertaining than some of the other stupid stunt fights I have heard about. I don't see Alex as having a very good chance though.

He's been calling out Gane for years. Gane always said no until Tom had a belt.

I think he's just being petty by not wanting to fight Gane right now, but not without cause.

Pereira teased this fight as well. I think it would be cool to see the Aspinall hype train end to a LHW.

That could be but Perriera is an easy fight for Tom at HW.

Meh not really that interested but unless its a main event I guess Im okay with it.

Most likely it willl be quick explosive fight and main card can use those.

I like Alex but boy has he been given an easy path to greatness. Even more than Conor or really anyone in history. You'd have tons of double and triple champs if everyone was given as many opportunities as Alex.

I mean, he literally stated thats the reason why he doesn't want to fight him.

But he also said he has never turned down an opponent that the UFC offered him and doesn't plan on doing so anytime soon, so it's just as likely Gane was never offered.

If Poatan has been offered, he'll have said yes. If Gane was offered, he'd have said yes.

I would find it very strange that a man who accepted a fight with the scariest man in the division, on 17 days notice, with a back injury, would all of a sudden start carefully picking his opponents.

It also seems pretty obvious that if this fight were to happen, then Poatan is the one who is keen on it, not Tom. Alex would be the only one to gain something from this fight.

Shhhhhh. You're not supposed to mention that part because Poatan is a sherdog darling.

Imagine of Alex wins, and Jones comes back and beats Stipe. That sets up a huge fight
