Media Aspinall sees holes in Jon's style following UFC 309

What is a number that is too much? 20 mil is too much for this? In 2024 that should be easy for the UFC given their insane profits..
Well its obvious that overall the fighters are paid like they should be.

Jon is one of the only ones that makes a good amount. Maybe him Conor, Poatan and a few others actually make what they deserve.

Well I just read Jones will make around 10 mil for UFC 309 if the PPV hits expectations.. So if Dana wants Jones/Aspinal double it to 20 mil and if Jones says no we can all bash him for it..

Jon is clearly slow at HW.

As stated numerous times today, Jones is as fast as he needs to be. If Aspinall chases him, he'll backpedal faster than he did against Reyes. And what does "slow" mean anyhow? He disposed of the fastest HW in Gane like he was nothing. What good is being extremely fast if you can't stop the most straightforward takedown attempt?

Also no way in hell is Jones slower than 90% of the HW fatsos. He is slower than Gane (whom he beat) and Aspinall, no doubt. Maybe, just maybe, slower than Pavlovich (as hand speed is concerned, obviously it's Pavlovich, but if we talk ring movement, I'll go Jones surely). Is Lewis faster than Jones, or Tuivasa, or Tibura, or Spivac, or Almeida or all other randos?

Jones certainly turned and ran like JDS quite a lot.

Unlike Stipe, who stood there like Mike Tyson boxing Jake Paul.

Jones has the reach, and the pedigree.

Tom has the power and the youth.
Similar to Francis,
power + speed *might* favor Tom
Speed could be equal but
we won't know until we see who shows up.

It's certainly more interesting than fighting Stipe.
Stipe looked in great shape but moved like a fossil. Jones definitely didn't want Francis or Tom, for whatever (obvious) reason.
His ego is big enough now to accept the Tom fight but he's certainly pushing for Alex.
Which really only makes sense at 205.

Jones ego is hidden currently under a layer of humble fakeness through "jesus", but he can't seem to help himself babbling about "his kids" and people/fans/fighters being "assholes".
There is enormous irony within those remarks.

Great fighter but he was sprinting away from Stipe. Ancient Stipe.
Not standing in the pocket like Anderson, or Fedor, or Nick Diaz... (For example)
which really doesn't do it for some of us.
Eye pokes, running away like JDS, cherry picking fights, holding up the division, letting little beefs get inside his head, it just isn't for all of us.

For these reasons, would rather remember other greats. Thankfully this fight is over with but until he retires... This is such a lame duck situation.

Tom gets rag dolled just like almost everyone else that has come up against Jones, sorry but he is not the guy to beat him.

In a perfect world these two would be required to fight each other.

Alas, we live in this nonsensical world where fighters are divas and demand the weirdest matchups and make the goofiest callouts.
