A Brazilian lightweight is about to sign with Polish promotion KSW. On July 9, Aspera FC 41 will feature a one-night, four-man lightweight tournament in Sao Jose, Brazil, and the winner will sign a multi-fight deal with KSW, the promotion announced recently.

In the first semifinal, UFC veteran Ivan Jorge will meet Guilherme Miranda, while Fernando Aparecido takes on Renato Gomes for the second spot in the final. In the alternate bout, Alexandre Cidade faces Thiago Nata.

"It is a pleasure to get this cooperation with KSW," Aspera FC president Marcelo Brigadeiro stated in a release. "I know (KSW CEO) Martin (Lewandowski) for a long time and I admire his way of doing business and how he made KSW become one of the biggest promotions in the world. I picked four of the best lightweights in Brazil to make sure that we will provide KSW with nothing but the prime of Brazilian MMA with our tournaments."

Sounds like a horrible deal. Winner of the tourney should decline the KSW offer and try to leverage the win to go elsewhere. "Win a contract to fight in KSW, where you will automatically lose any decision against our hometown fighters regardless if you win! "

I refuse to watch that shit organization after Pudz and Khalidovs last fights and the homebrew bullshit that was going on.

If KSW knows what they are doing they will have a contract saying you must fight with us if you win.

Interesting concept, but unless the contact is lucrative and guaranteed pay amount for every fight, why would they wanna go fight in an organization that is only big in Poland?

Yup, you have to finish you opponent or accept the loss, no matter if you almost murdered him

Look like KSW is trying to be more than just a Polish org. Good luck to them. They have many great fighters tied very deeply into contracts, Mamed Khalidov claims they pay him more than UFC offers. KSW are getting lots of fans outside of Poland. I am one...

Aspera FC been putting on lots of fights without the fame of the big Brazilian orgs. It is a good match, if KSW develops the winner and hangs on to them it will be a great sign of KSW growning.
