I enjoy Asmond's videos. I only knew him as the goofy skeleton looking guy who reacted to Bloodborne lore players before some of you guys started sharing his stuff like mad. I really don't get the hate for him either. There are things he says that I don't agree with, but who doesn't lol.

I like when he uses some British AI voice over for context, that always makes me laugh.

Hello all of my #NintendoFriend , I was just been coming across Eternal Champion of Stream Asmongold for first times. Sadly it was been remind me of Shameful Poop lady from Western Hoarding Culture USB-show. I watch him. I'm 42. I always watch Jim and I rarely disagree with him. He's 97% strictly common sense logiç.

I also like watching his gaming vids while I play my videogame. I let him play a bunch while I played Elden Ring.

I want to get one of his computers. I found out he owns a gaming computer company. I looked them up years ago and nothing was in stock. They had like 5 different models of computers. They were nice computers. I trust Asmongold to sell computers.

LOL. Wrong. He is a co-owner of the company. That hasn't changed. He didn't abdicate his stake.

Him "parting ways" with them, practically speaking, only meant that they effectively killed OTK. Because the idea all along was to show that OTK had so much influence it could power an upstart like Starforge to break into one of the hardest businesses to break into. If they could have done that, then they would have shown the tremendous value of OTK, and they could have rented out their services at a huge fee as a marketing front for any deep pockets who wanted to purchase that influence in the gaming/Twitchsphere. It was a fantastic idea: a dual venture. Retail and marketing.

And Asmongold was the face of OTK. He was the star. Him stepping away was the death of OTK, not the death of Asmongold. He's still the #3 most watched channel on Twitch.

OTK launched as a esport org. Today OTK are on their fifth business restructuring. Third restructuring that happened in 2021-2022 was meant to be that "tremendous value of OTK" strategy. However that didnt really include Artesian(Starforge). That was an OTK org acquisition into an already profitable company to diversify profits.

Retail and marketing strategy wise. This has been the main business practice of orgs like TSM, Optic, 100 Thieves and Faze Clan since the 2010's. Something OTK has never achieved for their founders/members were in constant state of controversies before and even after OTK's founding.

Venture capital money dried up before OTK was founded. While established endemic brands stayed away from OTK's brand risk nature.

He was disliked by the ultra progressives starting around the Twitch Deer Girl controversy. After his mothers death he became a react content creator instead of a MMO gamer. Which was launched from the Depp/Heard defamation trial. This is when his audience capture began shifting towards the redpill and MAGA'sphere communities. Who proceeded to feed him nothing but social wedge issues for reaction.

Worth noting that the personality Asmongold uses today is a character. One that he once found mentally straining when gaming and talking. Resulting in numerous breaks away from streaming.

I remember the old days of him doing wow content, never hated him but did think he needed to clean the room and take a shower. Looks like he's doing this shit fulltime now, probably has to stage the used soda cups before a stream.

Apparently I'm only a casual progressive, never heard of twitch deer girl in my life. I did notice asmon seemed to jump hard onto covering the dumpster fire rivalry between white nationalists and the gay mafia in gaming.

I can see why. That debate is an engagement farm.

Early 2020(?) Twitch formed a new council. To advise Twitch staff on a wide range of topics moving forward. This comprised of what i'd call mature minded streamers along with industry adjacent professionals. One selection didnt make sense. It was a trans-woman streamer who averaged ~25 viewers.

Thats when the internet went to work. Finding out she believes she is a deer and made recent comments like 'all white male gamers are white supremacists'. This of course led to people hate watching. Causing her to double down by making more outlandish statements like 'i have all the power now, you cant take it away from me' and 'im coming after you' while dancing.

Every streamer on Twitch went silent refusing to comment. Only Asmongold talked about it calling for her to be removed from the council and website.
 
Potentially half of Asmongold’s viewers are botted.
