The flip side to that is, he's the ex-ww champion of Bellator, current ONE ww-champion, undefeated in MMA and won gold in multiple wrestling championships

I agree though, we will never know how great he really is until he fights in the UFC. That is the ultimate test.

He didn't make the Olympic team, much less win a gold. Although his NCAA wrestling credentials are impressive.

His Bellator and ONE FC belts pale in comparison to a UFC championship. And I don't think he'll ever fight in the UFC. He's not even fighting regularly in ONE. With those opponents, he should be fighting at least three times a year. He would have been out of his contract by now.

On the flip side of THAT, Askren is criticizing Cerrone's skills against the elite when he's fighting lower quality guys in ONE. Cerrone "can't stop a takedown" against elite fighters, but can Askren get TDs on elite guys? How many elite guys have shot in on him in MMA?

Just because UFC is willing to bring in CM punk, and not a legit talent like Askren doesn't mean his accomplishments are meaningless, and he should stay silent.....it just means Dana is a dumbass.
