Askren says Bellator for sale, wonder if Dana's interested

lol, so Askren is the Inside Man now? I’m calling bullshit. He couldn’t even say he has the skinny from connections he made while he was there because they’re all gone now. He never worked for Scott.

though I do hope that Viacom eventually does sell Bellator(not to UFC) to allow more flexibility for the promotion outside of the Viacom/CBS universe. They don’t really have the channels for Bellator outside of Showtime after rebranding Spike. Their sports divisions outside of SHO sports are shit. The reason I call BS on this is if they wanted to sell Bellator, they would be more enticing on Showtime..not CBS Sportsnet. I know they want the content on Showtime and I believe Bellator is being prepped to be on Showtime before the end of 2021 or by 2022. It would be better if they had an owner/money man more directly in the game rather than being a small subsidiary of a major conglomerate.

They should market it the same way they do boxing. Add it to SHO sports and do SHOWTIME PPV like their big boxing fights.

Yeah Strikeforce ended up being great. I'm sure if Bellator would be bought out by the UFC we could see two divisions with an ex-bellator fighter becoming champ. Especially WW stands out at Bellator.

SF was great when it was just SF. The point was the shills thought the SF dudes couldn’t hang with the UFC roster. I looked forward to those events.

Doubt they're interested. They bought WEC and Strikeforce because their rosters were full of fighters that the UFC wanted to sign. Bellator is full of fighters that the UFC wanted to get rid of.

I can't imagine UFC wanting to take on all those bloated contracts. If the Bellator is paying more than UFC for some of those older guys then they are paying overs IMO.

Ya Coker needs to bring Bellator back to Canada dammit. I gotta travel to Mohegan Sun all the time from Toronto instead of going to Caesars Windsor or Casino Rama. We also need a tv deal as Bell only has CBS Sports but I use a VPN to watch their YouTube channel.
