It pretty much boil down to social skill. Many deaf people have incredibly poor English Mine isn't great, but most deaf people English is really bad. Here's a few samples of a post from a deaf person who is on my friend list on FB:
-I love the muppet movie no cc cody school I will buy movie sooon
-Casper is a very adorable, cute, special and deaf dog. He looks like from Disney's Bolt movie. ^_^
-Today I was returned to the church in Henderson since Easter Day 2012!! My friends was happy to see me!! Smile! God bless me! God is good!
Also many deaf people doesn't have parents that can communicate with them so their develop in language start when they are around 5 or 6 and in school. So they doesn't really socialize with hearing kids but rather with other deaf kids. Now after doing this for years, they become so comfortable in deaf community that they never try to venture out. By the time they hit high school age, they often are clueless about socializing with hearing people and extremely awkward when it come to that. So needless to say they aren't too eager to join sport and play with other hearing students.
Do I ever troll person that talk to me? Sometime... I would just nods and pretend to understand them then walk away. More of a defense mechanic than a attempt to piss osmeone off.
