Disrespected is the wrong word.... but yeah I'm not overly happy about it.

It makes sense though, Holly has a pretty big following (1.7 million Instagram followers!) and I've come to always expect at least one WMMA on the main card. If Megan Anderson wins it gives the UFC a lot of fuel to promote a Cyborg/Anderson fight for the 145 title.

Arlovski/Tuivasa on the main card over Blaydes/Overeem makes absolutely zero sense though. I can't figure that one out.

- I am, by your standards, not a "real" MMA fan
- I don't feel disrespected by the bout order
- I'm not interested in WMMA, but neither am I interested in Benavidez and the other flyweights
- I will simply go for a smoke break if there is a fight that I don't care about
- I live in europe and thus I will not watch most cards live anyway, they end at 7am where I live
- When I watch the cards the next day I can skip the women and flyweight and bantamweight fights alltogether

I dont see as much of problem with this as overeem isnt what he use to be and blaydes is still up and coming not really a star just yet so based on that vs holly past champion and multiple challenger welcoming a current 145 invicta champion to the ufc it makes sense for them to be higher on the card..it makes sense given all the recent records of all the fighters involved..

Why is it that people still don't understand that being the main fight on the prelims is a good thing? It means the company trusts you to sell a few more ppvs. They moved the Overeem fight because the ufc knew more people would be interested in that fight than in the Holly fight. Personally I would have the card as follows:

Whittaker vs Romero
Dos Anjos vs Covington
Gadelha vs Esparza
Overeem vs Blaydes
Tuivasa vs Arlovski

I have a feeling that the first 2 fights will be relatively quick so that will allow the UFC to bump one or possibly even 2 prelim fights (assuming they're also quick fights) onto the main card. I get why the UFC is putting Punk on the main card though, he's going to attract a lot of WWE fans. I think Holly is a good technical fighter but her fights often stink up a main card because they're too tactical and safe.
