As a Rashad fan I'm surprised he hasn't been KTFO more honestly.

I honestly don't know how he survived so long without getting knocked out every other fight. His jaw has always been terrible and it's been very nerve racking during each of his fights because of his tendency to get rocked with the lightest of punches.

He's had a great career at LHW but if he's not dropping down to 185 at this point I think he should hang it up because no way I see him getting back to the top 5. His wrestling/wall and stall isn't near the top of the division anymore and that's honestly what kept him from getting KTFO out for so long. Losing to Bader had to be humiliating enough but I foresee a string of brutal first RD's KO's in his future if he doesn't retire.

He won fights before because people respected his wrestling, then at times he would catch people sleeping on his striking and well...sleep them. But now he seems to be more of a boxer fighter, and when your chin isn't on the level of Glovers or fighters like Glover...well you go to sleep eventually. I think he's either lost that wrestling edge, or he just doesn't have faith in his knee anymore.

I think rashad should drop to 170lb if possible or retire. I doubt 185 lbers Rockhold or Weidman, Souza , Etc. are worried about him.

I like Rashad since forever but i hope he retires.

He could still contribute at 205 and 185. He should just forget about rankings and focus on getting on his top level again. He has Always been a great fighter but I agree his chin is not that great. He got knocked down in the Thiago Silva and the Rampage fight to.....barely surviving. His control game was really good.....so I am curious if he still has that level of control.

Prime Rashad was a scary fucker. I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley

But his time has passed. He's still a bad ass but he's not a world class fighter anymore. Just take the easy anchor job checks, Rashad.

i really thought rampage would KO him to be honest.

A big factor of "chin" is movement and awareness. Rashad looked slow and stiff last night which is the opposite of what his peak style was about. He was trying to circle, duck and weave as usual but the speed and rhythm just wasn't there. Glover was easily cornering and potshotting him while Rashad tried to recalibrate.

The game just passed him by, his skill set was beyond other fighters before but now it isin't

Me too, Rampage's TDD was on point too that fight, but Rashad's wrestling was so good that Rampage was so fucking tired when Rashad ran into his knee and got rocked (lol Rashad's chin is so bad) Rampage missed like 4-5 punches that would have knocked Rashad out and after that was too tired to chase Rashad down and finish him.

Well, don't throw that "world class" around too loosely. He still is world class. Just not among that top 5 elite anymore. More of a 6-15 guy. No shame in that.

Injuries have decimated Evans' athleticism and ability. He's definitely far removed from his prime. Glover hits hard as hell too. No shame in Evans losing after all he's done and been through.

Well said.

Also Rashad's chin was never terrible (he's survived alot of big hitters) it was just never granite either.

I wouldn't mind seeing him have a fight with his old TUF coach Rich Franklin if he ever comes back

he's going to end up like chuck if he keeps this up. ironic that he's the one that sent chuck in the downward spiral towards the end of his career.

Haha you sound like a huge fan for sure

Between the "wall and stall his entire career" and the "he should have gotten KTFO by every punch for the last 20 years since he gets rocked by the lightest punch" you sound like the biggest Rashad fan ever

I'm a Rashad fan and hoped before the fight this would be his last as the result seemed sort of inevitable to me.
If he tries to cut down to MW....fine, but I think he would be better off coaching and working for the UFC/on Fox at this point, he has had a great career and has nothing to be ashamed about hanging them up now.

On another note, Glover is a good dude and I hope he can get back to the top and challenge again one day.

He just doesnt have that fire in him anymore. Glover just walked him down and it was only a matter of time before he found that chin. Im a fan of Rashad but he needs to either change camps or retire
