As a Poirier fan this is gonna be rough.

Does Conor still have the motivation to fight? Poirier might turn the tables on him and beat the $hit out of him.

He kept brushing back his hair with one of his hands during the Hooker fight. I was thinking to myself that Hooker should time a strike to connect while Poirier is grooming himself. It was some kind of weird tic that Poirier had picked up. I was also thinking that maybe next time he should get a haircut so he can get his mind off his hair. He's not going to try and brush back his scalp.
But he won the fight anyway.

Grabbing the crotch.....maybe I had Poirier confused with someone else, but I think he kept doing that in one of his fights....I could be wrong.

Conor is a better striker and already has a win over him. If Dustin decides to strike with Mcgregor instead of mixing his game up then yeah, his chances of losing will increase so much more.

It's rather rare to get a rematch after losing a fight years down the line. To get a rematch with Conor Mcgregor is nearly impossible. Let's hope the guy decides to mix his game up with wrestling.
 
considering this is a different weight class, im thinking its going to be closer that a lot of people seem to think- idk, could be wrong, but dp has a solid chance here
 
I believe Conor would do worse against Hooker because styles makes fights and Conor is matched up fairly well here.
 
Meh.. on sherdog there will be no winner.. everybody sucks.. if conor wins dustin took a dive, was never any good and a cherry pick..

If conor wins he had one win at 155, is the worst grappler in the division and already lost against gatekeepers..

Conor gasses himself out by using highly explosive offense and "not being efficient with his energy." Dustin just has to survive until then.

Man, I would imagine a lot of fighters can win if they survive the first 2 rounds against Conor. Tall order.

Cardio issues and acclimatizing to different weight class were main reasons for struggling against Nate, not lack of striking skills, he tooled him up when fresh and Nate is no slouch in the boxing department. Nobody else in the division could do what he did against Eddie, nobody finished Cowboy as quickly and as flawlessly as he did either.

I agree with this. I can´t see how it could be a shame having a loss against either Conor or Dustin.
I still see Dustin winning, tho. Some ppl seems to consider Dustin a hopeless bum. He stopped Pettis, Gaetjhe and Eddie, and defeated Max and Hooker. I feel that Conor is his next victim.
Gonna be gud.
 
Poirier is a great fighter, he just doesn't have the tools to beat McGregor.

They are both strikers and McGregor is just the better striker.
 
Who knows what Conor will look like. The Cowboy fight was quick and Donald is way past his prime. That being said, Dustin gets hit a lot in his fights and Conors a finisher.

Yeh, I know. I think I was just trying to get someone riled up in a Conor thread for a laugh and was hoping you wouldn't point out the obvious stuff about how Conor is clearly leagues above Nate as a striker haha. well played.
 
Yes it’s a very possible outcome but I still believe that Poirier will survive the early beating and come back to choke McGregor.
 
Poirier is gonna get JACKED on the feet, it's gonna be a very short night for the notorious one.
