As a GSP fan, his resume isn't as great as it once seemed.

Kocheck, Alves, Hendricks, BJ, Condit. were all considered really good wins at one point, now, not so much. BJ is still a legend but he's a 145er with a 500 record.

Dont get it twisted, GSP still has solid wins, Hughes, Shields, Fitch, Sherk, Diaz. ...But I used to think he was far and away #1, now he can be passed

You MMA fans will learn that sometimes the guys Dana bills up as the next big thing were just overrated. Time shows this. The guys I mentioned fell off the cliff as soon as GSP beat them.

So I guess GSP got that last prime in them, huh? lmao

You're not a real fan bro! He fought the best of the best when they were the best

By sherdog logic and backing your guy to the death? ya, I'm not a sherdog fan

Honest fan of the guy I think is the best, that's me. I said he's #1, what do you want me to do? get on my knees for him.

Sherdog fans are so bias for their guy

Of course those guys aren't as good now as they were back then those fights were ages ago but it doesn't take away from the quality of those wins because with the exception of bj they were the best contenders at the time and they all really worked there way up to the shot unlock most title shots today . so sure those good guys may not be great fighters anymore but they're still quality wins when they happened

All wins look less impressive in time as fighters age and take more L's.

You're just being objective which is good. I can't tell if they're being sarcastic or not, but I know there are some Sherdoger's who really are retarded enough to say that and mean it.

By the way. I agree with GSP, he was the best way back when, but the top guy's today are just better over all. Beating Bisping doesn't prove a thing, pick another fighter, Bisping ain't worth a crap. How about Kelvin? GSP would get flatlined In my opinion.

WTF???

So ur argument is that because the very top guys gsp beat several years ago are no longer the best then gsp wasn't that good??

U good sir are a fucking idiot

I always thought Joe Frazier was a great boxer because he beat Ali.

But as I look at it now it does not look that great anymore. I mean Ali is dead and beating a dead guy is not impressive.

There's a difference between taking L's and falling off the map

Condit 2-6 Post GSP

Koscheck 2-6 Post GSP

Hendricks 3-6 Post GSP

Anyone that follows boxing knows there is plenty of guys that come up who seem better than they really are. Style match ups, the unknown....You guys have a lot to learn in MMA lmao

Promoters are going to play you for fools. Everyone is the next big thing lol

But how is comparing their current form with their past, younger form a fair comparison? If those guys were 25 today and without so many fights and injuries on them, they would be amazing.

That’s the thing with this sport most fighters peak has a short shelf life. Fighters like Condit, Hendricks, Koschek, Alves and Hardy were top fighters when GSP fought them.

Lmao. BJ was BJ Fucking Penn when GSP fought him. Koscheck was far and away the best wrestler at 170 amd a good fighter... GSP the karate fighter made him look like an amateur and outwrestled him twice. Alves was a monster who MANY thought was gunna beat GSP at the time. Condit and hendricks were both great fighters. This post is a 1/10 at best.

List the fighters and their records he should have fought that were so much more amazing. GSP actually fought mostly in a time when ranking based off of performance somewhat mattered. Yes sometimes fighters are overrated but I cannot see much that says GSP fought a bunch of cans.
