For those of you following the Pereira / Vakhitov story over the past couple of weeks, seems he's now on his way to Vegas.

Surely not a coincidence? Lots of chatter he's been picked up for DWCS

Yeah but they bring you in well before that to do initial medicals, take photos and shoot some tape. Aug 13 is only a month away; the production team will be editing the filler packages already.

Clearly, he watched Alex walk into the UFC and receive a favourable path to a title shot, given the history with Izzy...so he no doubt believes he can do something similar if given the opportunity.

However, Artem has a long way to go before theres any talk of a fight with Poatan lol.

People saying "Hunter becomes the hunted!!!1" haven't watched the fights and don't understand that Artem isn't going to walk in and KO murderkill everyone with single strikes. The guy has a totally different style of kickboxing that I think is much more exploitable in MMA than Poatan's or Izzy's.

I don't think Artem is ever getting a Poatan fight. Who is he supposed to fight while waiting for Artem, and as you said assuming artem wins. I think he may actually make the move to heavyweight if he beats Ank.

Artem's size/stature + style does not bode well for MMA.

Holding up "a high guard" giant pillow fists, as a style, isn't very good for MMA.

Pereira has the length + power to "thread the needle" with tiny MMA gloves, and Vakhitov will get bodied in a UFC fight with Alex.
