“Not doing too good”? I’m not so sure that working construction is worse than getting your brains scrambled for peanuts. Some people enjoy physical labor and being outside to working in a cubicle farm and wasting away behind a desk. yeah, but some people live out their dreams and can be content with a +10-20 yr pro career. then there's people who worked their entire life towards their athletic goal and get cut down in 1-3 yrs and have to realize they've spent their life attempting to achieve something that can never be due to a variety of circumstances.

i said it before, professional athleticism as a career is a brutal life.

this is true for people in all facets of life. I know people who had a career for 10+ years then found themselves suddenly going back to school when they’re in their late 30s
