if you REALLY care about KIDS then let me see you approach kids deaths by swimming pool..... look up the stats, more kids die each year by accidental drowning in swimming pools than by accidental gun shots....

Are you okay with banning pools? Maybe have a mental health test before purchasing a pool to make sure you're responsible enough..... we are talking about childrens lives here.

what if there were an electronic bracelet parents had to wear and the pool cover would only unlock when the parent was within 10ft???

The only thing that I don't agree with is people trying to find a gimmick to make guns "safer." If you want to own a gun, know how to use it. I don't like this idea really, but I can see how some people would. And a gun freak? Have we battled before or something?

Zero positive uses.

The key facet of any firearm is reliability. If a firearm isn't reliable, it's a liability. Once you introduce electronic elements to the equation, it becomes too risky.

As for Correctional Officers, most do not carry firearms. Only when transporting or when on perimeter detail. Those inside the prison usually carry pepper-spray, tazer, and/or a baton. Those transporting or on perimeter once again rely on their weapons to function 100% of the time, with little or no warning. Adding any sort of barrier to that could be fatal.

Because in California a law was passed in the year 2000, that if technology became available for "smart guns", that they could be the only weapons sold in California.

Hence, they would be getting rid of people's right to carry traditional firearms.

This is why people are rightfully afraid of this technology, because once it exists, the government will want us to have ONLY it. And then they can control who can use firearms.

There was law signed in New Jersey in 2002 regarding this topic, it is now being reversed. Its a stupid idea.

I'm not saying that the punishment for stealing should be death, I'm saying the punishment for entering someone's property with the intention of committing a crime should be death, and believe it or not, in most states, the law agrees with me.

Yeah, we should ban bridges so people cant jump off them.....

we should also ban the use of prescription meds since many teens are popping pills and dying of overdose......

you know what would save even more lives??? Lets ban medical practice while we're at it because more people die each year from medical malpractice than any other way of dying......

maybe we could ban lakes so no boating accidents happen.....

lets ban cars too or at least make all speed limits 20mph or below..... make all vehicles have an electronic device only allowing the vehicle to go 20mph max this would save THOUSANDS of lives EVERY year....... wait, not worth it? Then its also not worth it to touch my guns.....
