Media Arman Tsarukyan is Speedrunning Getting Cut from the UFC

UFC can cut him and they wouldn’t be missing anything. He’s just another average fighter who suddenly found himself high up in the rankings and then developed a huge ego. The Armenian can screw right off

Arman is done if he doesn't do what he is told.

An average fighter? So the company has what? 15 total fighters you would call above average?

At 28 years old Arman and Ilia are clearly the top 2 guys at the weight class in 2 years.

Average??

High standards bro. Damn.

Arman is probably one of the best toughest fights for Islam, but I'm so burned out on rematches. It's basically all they've given Islam. After he beat Olivera, Volk, and now Arman, they've tried making them fight again. Topuria is a better choice.

I hate instant rematches as well. But this isn't the definition of what I'd call a rematch. Arman was 22 years old and took the fight on short notice. He has had 10 fights since then and it has been over 6 years as well.

This isnt a case of a dumb rematch like OMalley vs Merab or Strickland vs DDP.

Fair enough, Arman rematch is totally separate from the calls for immediate rematches for Olivera and Volk. But it's still another rematch for Islam. Islam has had nothing but rematches and FWs offered to him, it's sort of cursed. I think Arman is much better than when he first fought Islam and should be a good fight, but I can't even remember the last time someone showed up overweight for a championship fight.

Dude has to bare minimum, make 155lbs and beat someone before another title shot. Not sure why he gets so much less hate than Khamzat for his weight miss when it's not the first time and it was for a title. Not to mention that Khamzat was forced to 170 afterwards.

I think that just comes down to people care less about Arman than Khamzat in general. The less people care about you the less hate will come your way when you screw up.

Fair enough, Khamzat is more controversial. I still sort of wish UFC shelved Leon and put up Khamzat instead of the Nate fight. Pretty sure Khamzat would've made weight and focused 100% for that fight. We would've avoided the Leon era.

Anyways yeah, Arman hasn't fought for awhile and needs to get one down in the win column still to get the shot. Hopefully Islam gets Topuria or WW title shot in mean time.

Arman is an entitled egotist and hothead - he's made that clear for several years. The real problem is he's nuking his relationship with the org before having any kind of leverage in "negotiations" by holding the belt. Until you have a title, you're a slave to that contract and nothing else (unless you manage to garner a large mainstream following, which I don't see happening). Declining the Gamrot fight was a massive blunder; they threw him a lifeline, and he spit in their faces. He's going to be forced to take an actually "insulting" fight now or be benched for a calendar year, which would be a prime year down the drain.
Serious question, what would be an insulting fight? Very low ranked guy? Thats like an easy paycheck, your stock continues to rise as you keep winning and you remain active, burning fights on your contract, someone at WW? They cant force someone to take a fight, thats in Dana White top 5 favorite arguments.

Dana will do worse than let him go, just sit him out for a year or so without a fight.

Dana has to offer him three fights a year or he has to pay Arman, he’ll keep offering him fights he doesn’t want so he doesn’t have to pay lol

Armen never fights. We're not missing out if he gets skunked by ufc matchmakers.

I do think he would be a tough test for Islam though.

too bad there's no speed run of this video (cant tell wtf they're saying if u try to 2x speed the vid)

One of the problems with Arman and the "you get paid per fight thing" is that unlike most of the guys on the roster...Arman doesn't need to care about the "pay" part. His family is mega rich, dude drives nicer cars than Dana. He literally has "fuck you" money (or his dad does at least) so with Arman it's only about prestige.
I get that too but the recipe to be a star or at least get a ton of favor with the organization is there, all he has to do is take a very winnable fight to advance. The ufc will bury him if he’s not careful

For sure. I think he wants the fame and prestige of becoming a star for sure. He just doesn't need the money.
