Gregor is no scrub. He just out grappled CDF and has the wrestling to counter Arman. I would still favor Arman though because of the striking and Gregor's inactivity.

Their grappling would probably cancel each other out. Arman is the only fighter I've seen even come close to holding their own against Islam. When it comes to striking he's much more polished, and much faster than Gregor.

I am asking this because I don't know, but is Gregor really a lesser wrestler? I don't even see guys like islam beating him in pure wrestling match. Does Arman have some special wrestling background or?

And i agree with people that Gregor is small for division. If he wasn't this old and and could make the cut, he would eat people at featherweight, at least wrestling-wise.

Rankings are stagnant and do a horrible job of representing the best fighters in the division.

I don't think the UFC needs to punish anyone, I think the rankings system should punish the ducking. It should be a point system that rewards wins, punishes losses and uses activity, strength of schedule, scorecards and ability to finish as a multiplier.

Gregor is pretty wack. The dude literally doesn’t want to fight anyone except favorable matches ranked higher than him. He is 34 and extremely inactive and his fight before his last he got completely flatlined by a guy who isn’t even in the ufc anymore.

Gillespie doesn't like fighting, he just saw it as a viable career path that works well with his lifestyle. If he won the lottery tomorrow he'd quit fighting the same day.

Every fighter has something to lose when they step in the ring. If Islam got KO'd by Green by some fluke strike, he would be set back also. If Gillespie stepped in late and gave Islam a good scrap, he wins in the eyes of the fans as well as Dana. Very few fighters win turning down fights.

It is frustrating wanting to see Gregor fight. He’s very good and his fights are fun to watch, so many good matchups for him. If you keep beating lower ranked guys you’ll still go up. He’s getting old for the division, and especially with his extensive wrestling career, who knows how long he can keep this high wrestling style that’s brutal on the body. Hopefully we can get 2-3 more good fights out of him before he calls it quits. Arman is the fight that makes the most sense imo, hell give them a main event on a Fight Night.

But he's an inferior overall grappler than the two. And he's definitely inferior in MMA grappling (which includes GnP and using the cage to your advantage)

Yeah, that makes sense. He surely has less experience with mma elements of grappling. Still, would be fun to see.

Grego outgrappled a very highlevel BJJ guy in CDF. I wouldn't count out his overall MMA grappling. Arman likely beats gregor on the feet, though, if the fight ever happens.
