Arlovski still competing against the best is shocking!!

Yeah its cool. Hope he's banking well. Could be a rough old age. Maybe not...Hope not.

I love it when people say guys like Arlovski only stay competitive because they are constantly evolving. If you actually know what you are watching, you can clearly see how much Arlovski has deteriorated and has remained competitive because the division is weak.

at 42, he just won against another young hungry lion whos 26, in a close fight.
This is Andrei at 30%, imagine 2003-2009 ANdrei in there, he would decapitate Felipe.
And that makes him the greatest UFC ever ? By beating someone who at this stage is still a minor prospect ?

War Arlovski!

His movement is great, and it made the difference in the outcome tonight, in my opinion. It’s like we are able to travel back in time when we get to watch Arlovski. Savor it.

Carlos Filipe is a fun & good fighter, so props to him too.

Very happy for Arlovski win. Well deserved and hope for bigger wins. Ever since I saw him on 'Bully Beatdown' where he beat the living sh*t out of a bully who out-weighed him by 50 - 60 lbs (he mocked Arlovski before the fight). He savagely murdered the bully everywhere in a stand up and on the ground for bullying smaller kids. Not sure if it was scripted, but don't care. Always will be an Arlovski admirer.

Remember when he was getting starched after the terrible Fedor/Rogers and Kharitonov run of KO's. We all said he was done and 10 years later he is still competing. mad stuff.

Was a great fight today and he looked in decent shape. Tired in the last round but he did well. A Legend.

I've been loving Andrei getting these late career wins probably more than anyone. But lets be real here, these aren't the best guys in the division he's beating. Nice wins considering his age absolutely, but not really bolstering his legacy outside of adding to the tally of wins and appearances which is the big thing. Most guys struggle to even get a win even against lesser comp at his age. But he's still showing to be somewhat sharp. The real impressive part is just witnessing how he's reshaped his game to make up for his short comings and age. Most just stick to their old guns to the bitter end and have miserable ends. Andrei has adapted wonderfully to make up for his late career short comings.

First off it's amazing Arlovski is still competing at his age and considering how much mileage he's put in. But I think that fight he had last night was very close, he was fortunate he got the win there. But I don't see him breaking through the top 10.

There is nothing in his abilities that wowed me. He looked exhausted even from the end of the 2nd round to the 3rd round. Arlovski should just retire with this win imo.

But he won't and I'm concerned he'll be viciously beaten in his future fights. I just have a bad feeling about it.

Tells you more about the state of the HW division than anything else. Still the weakest mens division out there.

When the6 give him can every tune yes when fight real man NGannou plz stop it

Maybe they're not cutting to avoid the division, they're cutting to avoid the top 5 guys but they don't represent the division at all.
You are probably right but the fact remains that they are cutting to avoid the heavier guys.

Hardly more shocking than Reem getting cut whilst Arlovski's still getting booked fight after fight

The guys Arlovski is fighting especially are the kind of fighter who would just have been a highlight reel KO for the big names 10-15 years ago but now are legit prospects.

Said it before Andrei vs Jones is the fight to make. It's the perfect matchup to see where Jones is at at HW & gives Andrei a well deserved money and possible retirement fight.
I love AA, said many times he is my all time favorite, and I don't hate this idea.

Jones isn't known as a power puncher, AA still has good movement and strength, can grapple, solid boxing, it would be a decent litmus test for Jon and get AA one last big money fight.

Andre has always been a good fighter. He's still in there making money, cause he needs it. Carlos was a challenge for him, but nothing close to any kind of contender.
