Arlovski still competing against the best is shocking!!

I love it when Shermongos knock the HW division and claim how weak it is while all of their favorite fighters are fainting and getting transported to the E.R. with kidney failure, trying to avoid them. It's only 206lbs to reach HW, guys...
Relative to other divisions, heavyweight is extremely weak. To say otherwise is plain dumb. Also, you act like people cutting to light heavy are the only ones cutting weight. Every weight class has fighters cutting massive amounts of weight to gain an advantage. So not sure what your point was.

AA should be the main event, he's a major hit or miss though.

When you say "weak" I assume that you mean MMA skills because in regards to competition, it is a tough division to handle. There aren't many big, exciting names but my point is that any of those guys can KO anyone on any given night. Not so in other weight classes. You referenced LHW but I'm referring to everyone fighting from almost LW and up. Khabib, Ferguson and a few others walk around at 200+ and most all other divisions above that, do for sure. You will mention "fighting shape/weight" but I will ask how many HWs look like they are in "fighting shape"? If the HW division was TRULY a weak division, those guys wouldn't be cutting and you'd see some dominant smaller champs. For us in the stands, it looks bad but get in the cage and it's a different animal.

when you get 500K or so to show up you would be surprised what you could do.

He's won 3 of his last 4 too! Only lost is to Aspinall who is legit.

This guy was around before Zuffa bought the UFC. During his prime he really dominated other than Tim(who he did beat once)

Even beat werdum after losing to Tim (underrated win) Went on a huge losing streak after fedor, was beating him before getting caught tho. Mentally broke him, then he boucned back big after that only losing once in 13 fights. Wins against Mir, Bigfoot, Travis Browne during that streak.

Years later still fighting top 10 guys. Respect to him.

Unless we've started to consider someone being ranked #72 as "the best".

Today, the UFC announcers laid it on really thick with the fake news spin.

Are Andrei's knees shot? He could have taken Felipe down and been the getter conditioned and more experienced grappler

Arlovski was NOT beating Fedor before he lost. I used to think that way back in that moment as an Andrei fan.

Go rewatch the fight. Fedor was rolling and blocking damn near everything Arlovski threw. It was a short fight that Andrei got figured out quickly and decisively.

That's correct. Fedor showed he was still at his peak so he got destroyed two fights later. The Arlovski fight proves he was in his prime.

at 42 years olds. this guy should be in ufc hall of fame

Maybe they're not cutting to avoid the division, they're cutting to avoid the top 5 guys but they don't represent the division at all.

AA is hall of famer, probably the best Ufc fighter of all time. Fighting from the 1990s, well into 2020s. Been champ. Also fought in Affliction. Still fighting top competition, while being 10 years past his prime and at 30%
What ? How ? Why ? Because he's had a lot of fights ?

Aa needs to retire he's a hw and can't finish anyone. Hell I don't know the last time he even rocked anyone. Yes it's great to see his glass chin has healed. But he's going to war with his opponents but like an opponent that has on full body armor and he's trying to punch with gloves on... it's a strange call for retirement but you're a hw I should never feel "yup this is going to be decision"

He's making tons of money though and he's fighting some fat cans for it

at 42, he just won against another young hungry lion whos 26, in a close fight.
This is Andrei at 30%, imagine 2003-2009 ANdrei in there, he would decapitate Felipe.

Eh he is just there. He is definitely not a top ten fighter. He will lose who he is suppose to lose to and beat those new guys who are inexperienced or just don't belong. He is Diego minus the gay coach and brain damage. I don't mind since AA is clearly not in contention and he is just used to fight in that capacity. It is also HW so level of skill is either there or it's not. It's not like LW where you don't want to be an old Jim Miller. Once in a while you do well but most of the time you are taking an asswhooping.
