It's kinda wild to me how many people "hate" Helwani but they know about all his stuff. Isgaf about the guy and I don't think I've ever seen his show outside of clips on here.

Wouldn't that make sense though? You don't really hate or dislike him, because you don't know him as well as people who watch his show. Not saying you would if you did watch it. just saying other people are a bit more familiar with his negative tendencies.

Also, Ariel has upped the aggro attitude since he doesn't answer to ESPN or any other real big org anymore. I'm sure he still answers to someone, but they seem to let him do his thing much more. So some people, who may have liked him, could have soured on him over the way he has changed over recent times.

he upped it because it gets him views. All the people that "hate" him can't stop talking about him. Even Dana White had to stage a whole podcast with Paddy Pimblett talking shit about him. It's going to get even better now because Francis is going to be giving him exclusives and Dana will continue to flip (along with all the losers who have to live vicariously through Dana White and his friends)

No one owes a journalist or Ariel Helwani anything. If Helwani wants more interviews maybe he should change the way he speaks to his guests. I have never met the guy but it seems most people who deal with him cannot stand him. No one has to tell him anything if they don't want to... The way he feels he has to be included just because 'he is a reporter' speaks volumes to his constant need to insert himself into the story.
