Are your parents dead?

Yes. Dad 20 yrs ago, mum 3 months ago. You never know when the last lucid moment with them will be.

I inherited her dog, he is laying here inside, looking at me. He is also very old and I don't think he has long to go either.
 
Yeah I lost both my parents and my sister in a 3-year span. My poor grandmother has lived long enough to see her son and daughter in law AND her granddaughter pass away. I feel bad for her
