Frequently Asked Question:
NHB7, why don't you rather than put five people asking yes or no, put 10 people and just say vote for the on you think is a legend?
Answer: Because of the way Sherdog polls work. Let me provide those interested with an example. Imagine I had a poll and all it asked was Do you think either of these fighters are legends? And I listed two people. One person was Gina Carano and the other person was Matt Mitrione. Now If I just listed there names and said, "Vote for them if you think they are legends and just don't vote if you don't think they are legends" here is what might happen. 100 people might enter the thread and of those 100 people 6 people vote because 6 people believe that both Carano and Mitrione are legends. But the poll doesn't count those people who came in and said, "No, they aren't legends, so I won't vote." So what ends up happening is the final conclusion of the poll is "Out of 6 votes, 6 people agree that Gina and Matt are legends. In other words, 100% of people believe Matt and Gina are legends." When in reality, only 6% of people believe that they are legends. So the only way to get to that number is to provide those people that believe they are not a legend to also have a vote. In other words, 6 people vote they are, and 94 people vote that they are not.
