I spoke to Phil on the phone a couple of years ago, I was trying to get him involved on another site but it all went tits up, he couldn't work out the login or something. There's saying he showed up for a paycheck, which I can agree with. The guys are prize fighters, it's literally their job.

Then there's calling a guy who has 50 professional cage fights at the highest levels on the planet a "pussy" or accusing him of taking a dive. Ridiculous.

I assume most of what is "fighter bashing" here is tongue-in-cheek, which is half the fun of this place. But sometimes it's toxic.

I think I might go over the line a bit at times but that's part of it. When you are honestly trying to find the line you might sometimes cross it. Here some people just go way too far or are trying to get attention. I find the questions that MMA journalists ask ridiculous since it seems like they are scared of Dana or just ask "puffy" questions. Brett Okamoto would be one that comes to mind. I wonder if he gets approval (from Dana) of his questions before he interviews Dana.
