The concept of fighter bashing is a "red herring". In major MMA media they refuse to criticize fighters and have dishonest discussions where they control the narrative. Do sherdoggers go to far at times with what you call bashing? Yes, but I would argue that's better than the B.S. you are getting in the MMA media right now. An obvious example would be Donald Cerrone, when he fought Conor. Rogan and others were gushing over Conor and his showing. Steven A. got attacked as an outsider to MMA for his honest observations of what happened. Here on Sherdog myself and others talked about how Cowboy just showed up for a paycheck.
There's saying he showed up for a paycheck, which I can agree with. The guys are prize fighters, it's literally their job.
Then there's calling a guy who has 50 professional cage fights at the highest levels on the planet a "pussy" or accusing him of taking a dive. Ridiculous.
I assume most of what is "fighter bashing" here is tongue-in-cheek, which is half the fun of this place. But sometimes it's toxic.
