Been watching this documentary, this guy makes the case that magic is actually real.

All famous magicians like David Blaine, Chris Angel etc. have this kind of "rockstar" vibe to them. Some of the stunts they perform just seem completely unbelievable.

I remember meeting a magician at a party one evening a couple of years ago. Some of the things he was able to do, just seemed completely unbelievable.

This man lit a lighter under the palm of his hand, which seemed very painful, he then followed his finger up his arm all the way to his mouth and then breathed out the fire. It was crazy.

Maybe the true illusion is that it is all real?

i think the real question here is, are we real?

Didn't you see Harry Potter? Of course magic is resl.

I think most are illusionists. But the ones that do real magic are products of the deal they made with the Devil. Same deal Rock Stars make.

How long did he keep the fire on his palm for?
He probably just had some kind of liquid or film on his palm that doesnt immediately burn.
Put some alcohol on your finger tips and you can touch fire for a bit. A bartender i know that does tricks showed me how he would blow fire from his fingertips

Magicians are definitely real, I met one at a birthday party when I was in the fifth grade. He used a bunch of rigged contraptions to make things seem to disappear, and he smelled like booze.

Shit probably still hurt like a motherfucker.

Some of these crazy ass magicians like Blaine and others have a crazy endurance and tolerance to pain. Not necessarily magic but still impressive.

My favorite are James Randi and Derren Brown, for exposing charlatans.

Magic is real in exactly the same way that gaining millions from a Nigerian prince is real.

It's as real as a 3 dollar bill.

Magic exists, it's just that nobody can ever verify it or study it or see verifiable results of its power or propose a rational mechanism for it to work in a world governed by established physical laws.
