Are fighters actually imrpoving?

I only watched the cro cop and fedor fight on youtube

I'm geniunely curious, I was too young to follow pride

The skill level and striking are light years above the stipe vs cormier fight. For some reason the HW div has moved backwards.

It was 100 percent a troll post designed to piss people off

Conor has a lot of bitter haters on Sherdog, pretty easy to rustle feathers with over the top conor posts.
You come across as such a weirdo loser, get help dude lol.

Na, we have striking as an olympic sport for decades, wrestling for decades. It's developed enough. People still figuring out how to mix em it training tho.
Also, Stipe and DC are great recent HW champions. HW is still alright.

What makes no sense is our back s were so hunched over but some how our back became more upright.
Now humans are opposite to where if they hunch over all the time, it becomes problematic

No they are not.

PEDs = stronger, more endurance, better chins etc

I'll take TRT Vitor over entire MW division today by 1 round KO

You will see in a couple of years when these guys will finish their career with a bunch of losses at the end. Nobody will give a fuck about the new breed. I mean Till is ranked #4 and he's 1-3 in his last 4 with the only win against Kelvin by split who is also 0-3 in his last 3. He also got slept by a LW.

Fighters are better in other organisations where they don't test that much.

How does that make no sense?

Humans also have amphibian ancestors, but now we can't breathe water, etc.

I think there are more fighters now that are well rounded/complete skill set fighters than they were even 5 years ago. Does that equate to the sport evolving, I don't know. But I guess so.

HW is by far the weakest division in mma. 15 years ago it was much more stacked as a whole.

A look at the MW rankings of old. Notice how every given fighter in the top 10 is relatively around the same skill level?

Compare to today's MW rankings:

Outside the top 5, no one has a chance against the champ. Are fighters actually improving, or in reality are divisions becoming more fragmented/more watered down?

I'm not sure a graphic says much about skillset. Just says they have about the same wins and losses. Skillset is more important.

To me this is trying to compare players in todays NFL to past greats. Some guys would do good in any generation while others would get mauled or be way out of position. I also look at things like olympic records and athletes generally evolve over time. I think fighters are generally more well rounded now. I also think coaching / nutrition / training is way ahead of the past. It is an interesting convo to have, but there is no way of knowing who would beat who in their primes.

Yes they are improving technique wise. Look at how good the striking of Conor/Israel is and how good the grappling of Khabib is.

However, the old era had many people on PED's, whereas it's harder to get away with in the current era.

GSP, Randy and Hughes were kahbib like in their wrestling dominance.

Machida and Anderson were better strikers than Conor/Isreal

Khabib has better overall grappling than all of those 3, and we haven't even seen his limit since he destroyed all his opponents. GSP even at his best was mostly about power double and lay and pray.

Machida and Anderson are both confirmed PED cheats, but even then I'd Adesanya/Conor are better strikers when looking at their technique. They both have better fundamentals but have less physical stats due to lack of PED (or lower usage) as well as fighting higher level competition.

I believe fighters are improving overall yes, perhaps USADA is affecting the relative rate though.

That's not a real word OP.

imrpoving is a state of mind.
