Your spelling needs imrpoving
I agree with you the most, I think that maybe the division (and maybe the sport) is rebuilding itself as fighters are still developing through other factors like aging, training more efficiently etc.I think skill and technique-wise mma has peaked
Izzy is no better than Silva
Top 10 isn't stacked at the moment but that could change.
The absolute best isn't much better than the previous generation if at all
This. The average guy today has much better sub and TDD than in 2012.
There’s no such thing as 2.0. It’s an excuse fan boys like yourself and Conor use if things don’t go their way. He fought a washed up Cerrone after initially trying to book fights with Diego Sanchez and Frankie Edgar while completely ducking the entire lightweight top 5. Stop the excuses and be mature. Your boy got his ass kicked fair and square despite cheating and retired after. Did nothing to warrant a rematch.Conor 2.0 vs Cowboy Cerrone happened in 2019 and its the highest level of skill we have ever witnessed in MMA. Reminded of Silva vs Forest but even better.

Of course they are. Look at how easily guys are beating Anderson Silva these days. He is a complete bum in the current era. Even GSP would get destroyed easily by anyone in the top 10 of this era.
I honestly think Chael would run through most of the top ten today. Same with Andy, same with Weidman, Rockhold, and Belfort.
So no, I don't think the skill level is much higher.
Watch Fedor vs Crocop then watch Stipe vs Cormier.
Gastellum came pretty close to beating the champ though and he's ranked 8. Wut.Compare to today's MW rankings:

Outside the top 5, no one has a chance against the champ. Are fighters actually improving, or in reality are divisions becoming more fragmented/more watered down?
Bruh Prime Shogun would sleep RJJ worse than Glen Johnson did.
LolIt's really a shame how hard Shogun fell off, those chute box wars paired with his knee surgeries killed all his mobility and movement.
I still think Prime Shogun would be up there with DC and Jones prime 4 prime
Submission stats have remained relatively the same (at least from 2013-2018):A decade ago triangle sub finishes were way higher
Personally I think the striking and TDD is better and these rankings reflect that.
Maia, Sonnen, and Okami were almost entirely grapplers. Picture them in a kickboxing match. There are not as many guys like that today.
Because TDD is better you have to have striking.
But I don't think the new MWs are better athletes or drastically better, just a bit different.
A very good striker in the past who would get murked by Sonnen or Okami via wrestling would do better today as they could learn TDD/BJJ easier.
Someone like Bisping who was reasonably well rounded with a great gas tank is about the same in either era. He beats 3-4/10 guys in the top 10 in either era.
is this a serious question? lolwhich fight is better?
