Anyone here applied a tourist visa in another country?

I'm from the Philippines I want to apply for an Australian tourist visa in Dubai (Australian Embassy).

applying here a visa here in our country is such a pain in the ass.

Are you living in Dubai ? If you are just visiting it will be hard to get an OZ visa as it does look suspicious

My sister who works as a flight attendant manage to acquire a US visa in Saudi Arabia.

It's impossible to get a visa if you applied in here unless you have a bag of cash and a relative to invite you there, even the Filipinos working in a foreign embassy are assholes to their fellow countrymen applying for a visa.

Tourist Visa shouldn't be that hard all you need is a job and saving for a holiday. If you don't have those things you shouldn't waste your money on a ticket as Border force will put you straight back on a plane once you get here.

I have a business and bank account here enough to sustain my needs, and yet the assholes rejected me.

They didn't even bother to check my bank account or list of my properties (proof that I will be comeback).

IF you don't mind me asking how much in Australian dollars is in your account. I ask because it's not cheep here and if you can't show a decent amount you will be rejected at the airport and sent back.

Applying for a visa? If that is what you mean, then yes, I've done it.

I got my visa for Brasil through the consulate in Argentina, I'm not from either of those countries.

Philippians usually go to thailand as a jumping point to other locations. Enjoy being an illegal, kabayan.

Our passport is crap, that's why they ask for show money aside from specific reasons to be there. Being a tourist from a shithole country doesn't fly anymore.

yup, that's why cross country is my answer to this.
Our country is crap, and it's our own countrymen that made it crap.

There's nothing to tell. Go to consulate and fill out paperwork...


They want to see that you have a reason to return to your country, of they think you'll return and you have funds to travel, no problem. I think.
