Apple, JP Morgan, Pepsi and others sign letter against Trump's immigration policy.

So is the suggestion here that Trump isn't actually pro-legal immigration and that, in fact, he will limit it as he is doing here - but don't worry, since he'll fix any issues caused by a lack of illegal and legal immigration with tariffs? You do modify your statement with "in theory" in there but how smoothly do you see this theory becoming a reality?
{<huh}
Im only saying that this companies, have every reason to want illegals or even legals low quality immigrants, in order to save a lot of money in wages that otherwise they would have to pay to americans.

Because President Trump make their lives harder for outsourcing third worlders.

@Trotsky
Honestly, anyone in a position of power or influence speaking out against Trump's idiotic policies just fuels the bunk "he's in it for US, not for the ELITE" narrative.

Narrative? How long will it take before you admit that’s actually what he’s doing

I miss the old democrat voter, that used to stick up for the working class,unions and the manufacturer workers. Now they favored the companies, how ironic.
Dare to say very Republican.<{Heymansnicker}>

Bunch of morons ITT showing why Trump is doing this.

"We are only against illegal immigration" what a fucking load of bullcrap.

If it's like anything else that's complicated, he's not going to bother reading up on it. "Nobody knew health care could be so complicated."

He may have been a businessman, but he wasn't running a company that needed a skilled labor force or that needed to manage production costs. This really comes as no surprise.

This means nothing. Our country needs to secure it's borders.

Even if Pepsi or Coca-Cola disagrees.

Their statement has fuck all to do with border security.

Do you nimrods even try to read what's being discussed? Are you just too lazy to make an effort or too simple-minded to interpret the "big words" employed?

These companies don't employ illegals inside the US ffs. They're tech companies and industrial manufacturers, not orange farmers.

The head of a fucking bank expresses concerns about immigration policy and the retards jump in with "derp derp they wanna hire illegals". I'm totally gonna share this with Pedro, my undocumented Salvadorian account manager next time I chat with him.

It isn't even about money, it is about the US maintaining its competitive advantage in technology and other sectors. Immigrants help with that obviously. Even fuckin Steve Jobs was Arabic and his birth was a scandal because his father was Muslim. His father is Syrian. A country that Trump banned.
Steve Jobs was not a foreigner, chief.

Dozens of top U.S. business leaders including Apple Inc.’s Tim Cook, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Jamie Dimon and Pepsico Inc.’s Indra Nooyi signed a letter expressing “serious concerns” about the Trump administration’s immigration policy changes and their potential to undermine economic growth.

The letter focused on recent changes in the area of high-skilled immigration. The executives decried moves that were said to include “inconsistent immigration decisions” and the likely curtailing of work permits for spouses of some high-skilled immigrants.

Those shifts were “unfair” and created a risk of “unnecessary costs and complications,” the CEOs said in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.

“As the federal government undertakes its legitimate review of immigration rules, it must avoid making changes that disrupt the lives of thousands of law-abiding and skilled employees, and that inflict substantial harm on U.S. competitiveness,” the executives said.

lol at Bezos getting the worst seat. Or maybe the best depending on your perspective.
If they were petitioning to focus their efforts on closing the loopholes to the H-1B visa program, first, they would enjoy my full support.
There's a Clear Way to Fix the H-1B Visa Program

Can't have these workers replacing American counterparts, and permanently taking our jobs. If anything, it should work in the reverse; they should come in to learn it, train a less-skilled American, then be forced to go home if the company cannot afford to keep them both.
