Apologizing to an outraged progressive is a big mistake

FWIW, I'm far to the left of you and I've been blocked by TONS of these pricks and had disingenuous arguments used against me. Never been blocked by MAGA folks or others on the right. I've been called a "moderate", "centrist", "bootlicker" just for defending free speech, even though I'm almost a socialist. I've been blocked by people preemptively who I never even interacted with.

The good news is I think this bullshit is starting to die down. I've noticed people seem to be focused on policy a lot more. Substantive issues. The identitarian candidates went nowhere fast in the Democratic primary, they've all dropped out. I haven't been blocked in quite some time and people here on the left who used to use bullshit arguments against me are now my friends.

I’m probably not as conservative as you think, about 5-10 years ago before most of the insanity and Trump derangement syndrome started I would have considered myself more of a liberal. I’m all for legalizing weed, I’m not big on religion, I don’t care who fucks who (as long as they’re consenting adults), and I myself an immigrant in North America, my wife is an immigrant, even our child was born in another country (all 3 of us were born in Communism ironically).

But the elitist attitudes of the obnoxious radical left pushed me away from wanting to associate with anything they stand for. I have no problem talking to people with different points of view, I don’t claim to have it all figured out and I’m learning every day. But it’s impossible to talk about issues with people who only look to be offended or offensive.

And you’re right, it does seem like more and more people in the middle are getting tired of all the pc woke nonsense and are starting move away from this group as we have.

What I mean is, just because the majority on social media feel a certain way, doesnt mean the majority of the country or world feel the same. Thats what I mean by social media isnt the real world.

That, and the silent majority remains, well, silent, on social media. I only recently reinstalled FB and only use it for business purposes and to keep in touch with family who lives overseas.

Legion of Skanks is proof that refusing to apologize works.

Those guys say the most henious anti PC shit all while living in New York of all places and the SJWs look the other way.

They had Milo on once and Antifa threatened them, their venue apologized and LoS basically just said fuck you and changed venues and since then the SJWs leave them alone because if you refuse to apologize it shows how powerless those people actually are.

They can only fuck with you if you apologize.

It reminds me of The Sopranos when Ralphie made a joke about Ginny Sack and Johnny Sack couldn't touch him because he wouldn't admit it. Then Ralphie apologizes and Johnny Sack immediately tried to have him whacked.

I've shared this story before, but the previous election cycle, my entire Office was "With Her" (Hillary Clinton).

during one of our lunch breaks I made it clear I wasn't voting for her. I said, "I could not in good conscious vote for Her or Trump. I voted for Jill Stein."

You should have seen the looks I got.

Ya that’s one of the biggest problems. If the majority just spoke up and told this small group of loud idiots to shut their hole whenever they started with their insanity, this would be a non issue. But understandably so, most balanced people don’t wanna get their hands dirty so they just remain silent. Unfortunately they’re needed to speak up because it’s gotten out of hand imo.
