Movies Apocalypse Now - Where should I start?

I picked up this bad boy for roughly $10 including shipping on eBay. It comes with all three versions of the film as well as the famed documentary Hearts of Darkness. I know there were some big Apocalypse Now fans on here so where should I start? Thanks!

The final cut and Hearts of Darkness. I'm not sure it's worthwhile watching the other two versions of the movie. I guess it depends on how big a fan you are.

Start with either the original cut of maybe the Final Cut which is basically part way between the original and the very long Redux.

not trolling but read the book Heart of Darkness and move on

I actually liked the redux edition minus the plantation scene

"Who are you?"

"I'm next"

Loved Apocalypse Now.........up until Marlon Brando shows up.

As has already been said, go with theatrical. I watched whatever version is in the “Redux” version (not sure if that’s “directors cut” or “final cut”) and it was boring af. Would not recommend.

Theatrical. The added scenes aren't bad, but they don't feel necessary, and they hurt the pacing of an already extremely long flick.

I thought it sucked, so start anywhere I guess.

Saw it once. Turned it off about half way through. Absolute garbage. Only good part is the beginning, for obvious reasons.

Watch the version with the most cut scenes.
If the MPAA screening audience hated the uncut version, then so will you.

It is a great film. Loosely based on Conrad's "Heart of Darkness." I would go in chronological order. I have these editions on disc somewhere. Some top notch performances there. The extended version won't hit for you unless you have seen the original one first, I think. Maybe I'm wrong, idk. Anyone shitting on this film does not have good taste in films.
