One FC should stop protecting it's fighters and making national belts that no one wanted, and no one needed.

Tynanes' unstoppable force is on a roll, while Aoki continues decapitating some headless cans.

Aoki needs defend his belt legitimately against legit opponent, and we see that in Tynanes.

This fight needed to happen.

I like Aoki, but he has had the most wasted career of any fighter.

Agreed that this fight should happen.

But

Tynanes has been vocal about his UFC ambitions, he only has 1 fight left on his contract, and it would be pretty bad for ONE if he beat Aoki and jumped ship. I can still see this fight happening though.
They would be smart to write a champion clause into his contract. ONE contracts are more flexible than UFC sonwho knows

AGreed with above, if he isnt gonna sign a new deal then doesnt make sense to make that fight. First if they have a champ clause and he wants to go to UFC then he wont/shouldnt take a fight that could lock him up longer.

and if they dont do they want to risk him beating Aoki and leaving?

Can't really say that about someone who has been to the top of their division (top 3 atleast) Held major titles and beaten 10+ top 10 opponents. Dude has almost 50 fights and has been around for over a decade now, not many LWs out there can maintain that kind of longevity.

I like the Tynanes fight a lot, outside of a Askren/Aoki superfight I think that's the best fight ONE can make.

Katsumi Yamada hit the nail on the head. Contract negotiations will definitely play their part in all of this.

In the meantime I'm hoping they match Aoki up with Adrian Pang. Stylistically would be a very fun fight to watch. Aoki is a submission specialist but Pang has not been submitted since his debut, 15 years ago.

Aoki needs to fight against someone in ONE pretty soon, he hasn't defended his belt for almost a year now. I'd like to see the Tynanes fight because it would be an interesting clash of styles, but I would take the Pang fight too. Anything to get the division moving along.

I couldn't say every fighter has faced Aoki in OneC was a can:
Lepont at that time had a good record, Boku is always danger and Ando is legit
He fought a lot of cans in the NYEs tough

OneFC is really just EvolveFC. There's no way around it.
