International AOC is the biggest Sellout - Just Voted Yes to more Military Aid to Israel

Wait. The US provides Israel with 3.8 billion annually????

Is this facts? If so, why are more of the American populous not utterly outraged.

Because all the media outlets never talk about all the money we give every year and just kiss Israel's ass.

Americans are generally outraged by whatever their chosen media or social media news outlets tell them to be outraged about.

You see a Latina with big boobs and you think about an mma fighter in a dress. I think that says more about you than it does democrats

<NoneOfMy>

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But that's the primary problem. If you don't go in lock step with everything Israel wants, all the Congressman who vote or speak out against it are targeted.
Yes, but that's a structural problem of our system, not necessarily a problem of individual morals or integrity.
On some level, you have to play the game to stay in the game. She is one voice of 435, and in a place like New York where there's plenty of money and power that could be organized against her.

Experienced politicians know how these bills are going to go before they draft them and bring them to the floor. A Marjory Taylor Green bill was never going to go anywhere.

Supposedly she’s getting death threats now lol. This is a big problem for the left, if someone doesn’t agree with them 100% a bunch of people lose their minds. Theres no room for nuance with some of these people. Ultimately all it does is lose moderate support.

yea the blue hair people are violent

Kamala was the DA of San Franscisco. She graduated from Howard. Call her a cunt or bitch or whatever you have to do to quell the racist misogyny in your head, but don't call her dumb. She is smart as a fucking whip.
How about the fact that she has a shit character???

Who cares if she was a “DA”. She’s the bitch that kept dudes in prison (for weed) longer to help fight fires.

Voting on bills like this can be more complex than simply whether or not you voted 'yes' or 'no', especially when the end result was so lopsided.

It's defense funding for Iron Dome and it has no chance of not passing. She essentially would be needlessly putting her head out to be fired at for a Marjorie Taylor Greene bill that was dead on arrival. Politically, that doesn't make much sense and just gives the media and her opponents more ammo against her.
What a bunch of absolute horseshit. An elected representative shouldn't vote in line with their public declarations and stated position on an issue because that's inviting unnecessary flak? What horseshit. She should get 100 times the flak for this from her would-be supporters.

When the gamification of politics becomes more important than the actual substance and policies - especially wheb these policies relate to fucking genocide and forced starvation- what are we even talking about at this point? We've lost the plot 5 chapters back.

There's a time to vote to make a statement, even when you know you are going to lose, and I can see her political calculations that this wasn't one of those times.
She likely has other political aspirations in the future, and having her name on a dead bill like this could get turned around on her in the future in future ad campaigns. "Radical AOC along with her fellow squad membes showed her anti-semitism by voting alongside Jewish space laser conspiracy theorist and known anti-semite Marjorie Taylor Green. Radicalism has no place in our democracy. blah blah blah"
What a cowardly take. No offense, but this is high-school mean girls mentality as applied to international politics. Its pathetic. If AOC, or any other politician gets a pass and a tidy excuse from the electorate for so obviously abandoning any possible sense of an actual stance on an issue, they have zero business claiming to ve anything other than a business person, purely using political position as a leverage for personal gain - and again, this isnt some dry funding bill for a new water treatment plant or something. Its genocide, rocket attacks, starvation, the risk of descending into regional if not worldwide warfare. You cant hold the line on your publicly declared stance for this issue, because politicking is more important?

Booo-fucking-urns.

Absolute rat-fucks, the lot of them

You can bitch and complain about how you want the world to be, or you can live in reality and address what is actually happening and how power and politics ACTUALLY works in real life.
You're doing the former.

Like it or not, there is strategy on when and how to put a bill together and how to vote--it's baked into the system. Rarely do we have some big complicated issue made into a bill that says "End Genocide...yay or nay"

I get so tired of people talking about "cowardice" in politics, as if how brave or cowardly you appear to be equals results. This isn't Thermopylae. It's politics. Where is brave Corey Bush and Jamaal Bowman? Did bravery keep them in their seats?
At the end of the day SIX out of 435 people voted for this bill. It. Was. Not. Passing.
So you would rather a person like AOC, a person who already gets smeared by right wingers, liberals, and the media, she should have given them a free shot at her over a meaningless bill that was never going to pass? For what? To show she is against a genocide she has repeatedly said she is against?
Are we not aware that people like her, Bernie, or Omar are an extremely tiny majority of elected government and don't have much power to change things by vote?
