In your opinion, is there a fighter coming up who will be the next Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, GSP etc, basically the full package of skills, attitude, popularity etc. Disregard your personal opinion of the fighters I listed, they are simply examples.

I see potential in several fighters but they are not quite there yet.

I don't see any, PVZ won't. Cody won't. Sage won't. Smolka won't. Scoggins won't. What other young fighters are there? Maybe Yair because of his Mexican roots but I can't think of anybody else.

Yair maybe but his reckless style is going to cost him.

Maybe Korean Superboy Doo Ho Choi. Kid looks legit as fuck.

185lbs and above there are like zero prospect. LHW is sad.

Ohh.. Wonderboy Thompson.. he is the next big thing.

After he TKOs Lawler/Twood winner he will be recognized as a force. No one at WW is beating him anytime soon.

Wonderboy is a great choice

Thompson is 32/33. Not sure if he qualifies as the next big thing or go on a long run as Champion if he wins it. All depends on how long he fights, I suppose.

It's too hard to say. But I am looking forward to the next generation of fighter's whose skill sets will be a lot better at a younger age than the fighter's in the original post.

Do you think that even the fighters now who are the true MMA guys; the ones who trained from the start in MMA still lean towards one aspect? Will this next generation truly be pure MMA and not have any preference towards stand up or grappling etc

Wonderboy started his career late. I would not be suprised if he has a long career.

If he can learn from his mistakes Thomas Almeida still has plenty of time.

Yair Rodriguez will be a star after a couple more wins that'll test him. Maybe the Korean superboy everyone's talking about. He hasn't fought anyone yet though so it's hard to say

I would say Mizuki Inoue. She's still only 21 and arguably has the best striking of any Japanese WMMA fighter. I think she is destined to someday fight in the UFC and take on Joanna. But first Mizuki needs to avenge her loss to Karolina K. Mizuki is progressing very nicely and doesn't need to avenge that loss yet. I feel like a few more years and Mizuki will be incredible.

Another candidate for the next big thing is Mizuki's training partner Yukari Yamaguchi. Her ground game might be better than Mizuki and Yukari has experience in Shoot Boxing.

I would like to see Mizuki's training camp (Hakushinkai Karate) change the face of Japanese MMA and create a stable of Japanese fighters that can compete on the international stage.

One last Japanese fighter is Kanako Murata. I heard that she did some training in America for her recent fight at KOTC. Kanako said she learned so much and it will make her a better fighter. If true, i'd really like to see how her game evolves.

Tumenov if he focuses more on ground defense

Yeah, that's why it's a shame. Would have being interesting to see him come in in his early 20s.

I hope the Lawler and Woodley fight is a quick one and he gets to fight the winner before the end of the year.
