Do these things actually work well or are they just a novelty. I have a German Shaepard and the dog hair is unbelievable. I cant keep up with vacuuming. Does anyone have honest feedback about Roombas? Are they worth it?

Wonderful things will happen if your dog has an accident on the carpet when you're out, and the roomba finds it before you do.

I got one cuz i have 2 huskies.

Good for getting most dog hair.

Thats it. Wont get all of it. Doesnt do corners or along walls very well but definitely helps with pet hair.

Why didn’t they make the thing a fucking square so it could get corners?

I've had one for like 10 years. It works good enough for me. I usually run it twice though in the same day... it's not a big deal because it's a robot.

Own 2 botvac connected. 1 upstairs one downstairs...I love them. Im hearing good things about the Roomba 980 but I can't justify spending that much

There was a thread on this with the same title pretty recently that you posted in

Lol I forgot about that. I was wondering if the new ones are better.

I like mine. It does not replace traditional vacuuming, but it's a solid addition.

I lock mine in various rooms and let it do its thing until the battery dies. You'd be amazed what amasses underneath beds, etc.

I read that you need lights on so that the laser can move the machine. My house is dark inside.

I've always had hairy dogs. Brush him good once in a while and just run the combination through him for like a minute every day. I don't really notice alot of hair around the house since I started doing this. With my old dog I used to brush like once a week and it was far far worse.

Yeah I have one, to clean up after my lab. It's alright, as long as you have wood floors, which I do.

It's not an alternative for a vacuuming, more of a light maintenance tool to prevent too much build up of fur.

All this AI and the stupid robot can't even avoid a dog pile?
