Anyone notice it's ok for some fighters to lose but not all of them?

If you are a shit talking fool making ridiculous claims you can expect to take major heat. Then there are the ones that do nothing but make stupid excuses when they lose.

Then you got classy pros that don't talk shit, and don't make excuses.

I love seeing that first group lose. The second group not so much. But it's the best when it's a fighter from the second group taking out a fighter from the first.

But EVERYBODY loses an mma fight. It's just a matter of time, and that's a fact.

Because everyone wants to see the guy on top lose. When a guy seems unbeatable it is natural that their loss has a bigger impact. Losing doesn't mean they suck it just breaks an aura of invincibility and makes people talk more realistically about the fighters weaknesses.

Other fighters have other expectations on them. If someone has a reputation for exciting fights and puts on a boring fight the backlash is similar. It's all about the expectations

Everyone loses.

Except for Khabib.

King Cobras? How old are you? 16???

Drink something respectable like Olde English 800.

Generally, the less someone loses and the longer they stay on top, the more people will shit on them and downgrade their skills and value when they lose. Look at Anderson and Fedor for prime examples.

Fans are a selfish, inconsiderate and entitled bunch (especially here). They always find a way to make an athlete's performance about themselves and their expectations.

When their unrealistic dream of their favorite fighter backfires, then they throw all the blame on the fighter and not themselves and their shitty entitlement and expectations.

Im on the king kobras like white trash so bear with me.

I think it's dumb some fighters are "allowed" to lose and some aren't.

Stipe gets ko'd by Struve? NP hes HW champ and ranked number 1. Long future ahead of him.

My boy Reem gets ko'd all the time, nobody cares, he's about to win the HW belt and be considered toughest man in the UFC etc. etc.

But holy shit god forbid Fedor or Silva or Conor loses(I'm 1 of the biggest Conor haters around. I think he had 0 skills 0 talent and want him to dissappear)

Some fighters get a pass after losses, some are considered garbage and "exposed" and they suck because they lost once....people shit all over Andy and Fedor and Conor and a few others after 1 loss and i think its fucking ludicrous.

Why is this?

Because people like to pretend they were right.

People waited 10 years for Fedor to lose just so they could say "I told you he was over-rated". Happens with everyone that goes on a long streak. People will talk them down until they lose, then simply think they were right all along.

People mainly bash on great fighters because they want to convince people that their favorite is better than the person they are bashing.

I think it's silly. We don't know who the goat truly is. Fedor, Bones, Anderson, Aldo etc will never fight each other in their primes so it's all just opinion. However, some fans are whiny bitches and they have to tear down a great fighter to try and feel better about their opinion.

This is usually a result of people being insecure and unhappy in their lives.

I just try to enjoy fights and don't get caught up in who wins or loses. It's fun to debate goat and stuff like that, but there is no "right" answer.

Other fighters are just fun to make fun of. I think as long as it's light hearted then there is no harm in it.

Exactly.

Hell you could go back even further than that. People say guys like Ken Shamrock or Chuck Liddell sucked just because they stuck around too long and were past their primes. These people that say they sucked ignore the fact that in their primes they were dominant and beat most of the other top guys from their own era.

People don't seem to understand what it's like to age, and what it does to your body. Those of us who aren't in our 20's anymore fully understand this.

So basically we're holding certain fighters to a higher standard for no reason?

That's why Condit can lose as much as he wants and its no biggie hes still one of the greatest ever hes so fucking dope man.....but sage(who i hate cause hes a hype train) loses 1time and he sucks and should retire?

Yes....

GOAT candidates are held to a higher standard.

If you don't understand why I can't help you.

TS wake up you answer your own question during your little ranks about these guys.

Example: Sage (who I hate blah blah blah overhyped) why can't he lose? BECAUSE HES OVERHYPED....so now the expectation is that he should be unbeatable and when he loses people LOVE to throw it in his face and the UFC.

Paige Van Zant similar deal....plus the whole hair deal rubbed dudes the wrong way.

Ronda....I'm queen of the world, once ever in human history....people were dying to see her get killed because she ran her mouth so, so much.

Conor.....yes he's got lovers but most rabid fans hate this guy because of the mouth, over boasting, disrespecting everyone and for having holes in his game. When you say all that you've got to back it up big time and he hasn't despite the fact that he's done some impressive things that haters HATE to admit because they HATE him so much.

Now....Fedor....humble, walked the walk, did it all loses a few fights and most feel gutted over that and he gets a pass so to speak because he's humble, respectful and classy.

GSP well he lost twice and avenged them but people hate this guy because he didn't win they way they wanted him to win and he got some favorable decisions (well one). The just bleed crowd hate Georges....even that duck fuck Dana who constantly disrespected this guy calling him a pussy.

The problem is that a 19 year old and a fw with only a couple top 10 wins(Conor) were even considered GOAT in the first place. Same with Rousey after like 11 fights.

Why is it you think UFC fans(i say UFC fans because most around here arent actual mma fans) are so quick/stupid to fall for hype trains like they literally have no brain at all?

Dana can say hey Conorbis the best and 90% of Sherdog and people in attendance at events are like HES THE GOD DAMN BEST!!! Heard it on a commercial!!!
Maybe mma fans just have a low IQ in general.
