At UFC 214 his reported pay was 1,000,000
At UFC 220 his reported pay was 500,000

Why did he take a 1/2 million pay cut?

Because they deposited the rest on his Popeyes membership card.

UFC 214-Jon Jones , Main event

UFC 220- Volkan , co-main .

Name status.

Jon Jones is a much bigger fight name wise than Volkan.

UFC released pay only actually means anything if the fighter doesn't get PPV points

Otherwise we have absolutely no idea how much they made

Who reported DC made 1 million? He's been on a 500k + PPV contract for awhile. He's definitely clearing over a million with PPV points but he's not getting a million salary.

fighting jones is a bigger draw than fighting some guy with an unpronounceable name

Says here his reported payout was $500k at UFC 200 and $1,000,000 for 214. Now he's back to $500,000. He might have had a 'Jon Jones' clause in his contract because both DC and Dana mentioned him losing money as a result of Jon's PED failure.
A UFC Champion makes $500k and since there was 2 UFC champs thats $500k x 2. MMAth is not that hard. Conor is the 155 lb champ and Nate Diaz is 3 x his size therefore Nate is 465 lbs

He's not walking away from 220 without a cool mill once you add up his ppv rev.

His deal can even be 500k but more ppv revenue which is better than a million with less ppv revenue.

At UFC 214 he was fighting a roided to the gills Jones.

At UFC 220 he was fighting a Bellator reject.

Welcome to The DC money era.

I wonder if he has surpassed Anderson money yet.

He's probably got a nice deal with his other contracts for TV, etc.

Borrowed a $500,000 advance because he's all about that cake, bout that cake...and chicken?
