Anyone know the Rate$ at Gracie Miami

The reason why you won't see any Valente students as champions in any mma events or any jiu-jitsu sporting events, is because they feel when you train for these events with rules, you are seriously asking for trouble when you get in a real street-fight with no rules. They do not compete in any way, shape or form.

yea.. i guess Royler jiu jitsu isn't "street effective" because him and his students compete in mma/bjj/adcc..... :S

Personally i think that the guys that are really really good in competitonwill win on the streets because one on one he will control better and submit faster that the guy that is " self defense good" ...... the good competition grappler will also have a better attack most likley since the other guy is focused on "defense" lol but anything could happen...... main point is someone that trains for competiotion is: more ready, more experience with fights or
"Matches", ect.... most BBJ techinque could be deadly....

My brother trains at Rillion's. He loves it but all they do is Sport BJJ. He's been there for at least 4-5 Months and hasn't take the Gi off once.
