Anyone know how Khabib is so strong?

Khabib has that typical farm wrestling body look. And those farmers are strong as fuck. Hughes as just an example was incredibly strong, I was watching UFC 42 recently on fightpass and he reminds me so much of Khabib at that time, he was soooooo strong. Matt got smaller and smaller over the years, but around UFC 42 time his strength was beyond scary

Grip and core strength developed over a life time of grappling. I bet maia feels like he's 400lbs on top of you even though he's built like an accountant

because arm muscles are weak comparatively. guys with show muscles aren't necessarily freakishly strong. Core/back muscles and technique to use the hands and arms in combination are what make him so strong...

He’s got core strength that’s been developing since he was a child. Grappling your whole life can do that.

He’s actually built very similarly to Hughes

Yep, another one is don't confuse vascularity with strength.

Barrel chest, forearms, strong back. Strong legs. Proper wrestling technique amplies the force he exerts on people.

Big difference between functional strength and muscles for the beach

Body builder body does not equate to overall strength .I started training at 15 Running track and field events, weightlifting at the same time for powerlifting . all kinds of guys were more muscular but honestly felt like girls comparing to my strength . At the end of the day it was Genetics . at 19 I had a 480 pd deadlift to my walkaround weight of 141 . Genetics Even arm wrestled our top bodybuilder at 155 and beat him easy

Aside from obviously being technically excellent in the grappling, Khabib looks plenty strong for a LW. How can anyone have competed in or even followed sport closely for any amount of time and automatically think that a body-builder's physique is ultimate way to gauge of strength?

Like those farmboys. They don't look like much, but they've got that functional strength.
