    does anyone know where i can find a site where i can order bjj mat friendly grappling shoes that wont rip up standard bjj mats...thanks

    you can get wrestling shoes at Dick's Sporting Goods and other types of stores if you don't want to order them online. Or from their website if you do.

    why would you wear any kind of shoes for bjj or is this to do something other than bjj on the bjj mats....?

    well its no gi bjj...and i broke my big toe and i was thinking the shoe would protect it better once i get back on the mats

    Shoes won't help. I've broken my big toe during class before also, but there isn't enough rigidity in wrestling shoes to protect it. All you can really do is tape it properly and hope it works.
