Anyone here from the old days!

It started around 2015-2016 when they changed the forum format and everyone was bitching for a while. More recent than you think

And to answer the thread, I made my first account in 2008 and mostly just lurked. I ended up doing most of my forum chatting on MMATKO (RIP). Forgot my password here and made a new account in 2010 until I got teh ban.

And here I am with my Fox newb join date
Fox Newb! Love it. That will be used to describe fans from that era lmao

Have been around for some time, watch VHS tapes, bought Pride DVDs 5 months after the events and often cry when watching what MMA has become..

Yup. I've seen every UFC even since they were only available at Video Rental stores. Didn't officially sign up for Sherdog until Jones vs. Cormier I though.

Was watching from ufc1. Got busy for a while after about 8 or 10 and watched sometimes. Pride came and got me back into mma as it was different and exciting. Been around fairly constantly since.

I been watchin b4 there was Blockbuster

ask me anything

Got hooked when Arlovski was champ, thought he was the coolest fucker I'd ever seen! Here we are 17 years later and he's still at it. What a guy!

Bought ufc 1 and 2 in a video shop on my way home from work in 95 or 96, blind buy, just liked the cover and "THERE ARE NO RULES!" emblazoned across the front.
Always found a way to keep up with it during the no Internet days, it was right up my street, loved it from the start.

I question how "good" these days were without Conor, Brock or Ronda.

I still think about the Sherdog meetup outside Saitama Super Arena for Pride: Total Elimination 2003. Those were the days.

I've been watching since the ancient Olympic games. Back when men competed naked. Everyone now today is a pussy, the Greek city-states had the best hand to hand combat specialists.

(I'm doing this right, I think).

I'm here and I'd like to say that everything was better in the old days.

Also, fuck you all.

Been around since the site had the "heavies." Got into MMA seriously after Tito vs. Liddell feud and Pride FC. I got into it briefly watching fighters like Don Frye, Mark Coleman, and Frank Shamrock in their heydays but I wasn't a hardcore fan. Other than the judging, I personally feel MMA has evolved into a better sport compared to the "olden" days of MMA.
