If so, did you get neck pain from it?

I drove a fork-lift once, and my neck was hurting after I was trained on it. (From looking up so much.)

Well, I've got a job interview coming up for forklift driving, please discuss.

There was a dude awhile back who was bragging about his forklift skills. It really is an art.

Maybe @Hans Gercmiov ?

I'd like to insert a "your mom" joke, but it seems like this is a legit serious thread.

Carry on.

I'm an Ops Supervisor. I have guys on my team who have been driving forklifts for 25 plus years. During some holiday parties we'll even do forklift rodeos. Google it. It's basically a forklift skills contest.

As for your neck, Is it more because you continuously are looking up from bringing a load down or because your Rf scanner is positioned above eye level?

Stretches and intermittent breaks from looking up can help. If it's just an issue that keeps reoccurring you might need to look at other things you can do.

It's from continuously looking up, to bring down a load.

Never but it was fvcking funny racing against my former co-workers

I did when I was 15 for a couple years. Loved night shift so I could fly around the warehouse and not get in shit.

I was for about 2 years, the neck pain comes and goes at first but the thing that had me concerned more was the back posture whilst operating the form - if you're not careful you'll end up like a spoon

I did but I sucked at it so they wouldn't let me drive it again. Also those things are too damn small for my long muscular limbs.

Like in any other "manual" labor your body needs some time to adapt (i´d say about 3 weeks), but it also depends on your work rhythm, the pressure you put on yourselfe to do well and if its a stressful job in terms of production.
Like another poster said above, be careful with your back posture, and also make sure that at least every couple of hours you stop and stretch for a few minutes. Its a safety rule.
Good luck

You will get used to it first it can stuck ur neck a bit or u wont get used to it and have to take pain meds to be able to work like some older guys at my work they are shot for so many years of wear.. Ive been doing warehouse job for 15 years so protip.

I drove one for a little while.
Got some minor neck and back pain, but it was mostly from looking over my shoulder while backing up or towing cargo behind me.
Chalk it up to inexperience - you probably get used to the ergonomic peculiarities eventually.

I was at the groundbreaking for the new Warroirs stadium in San Francisco. They did a fucking choreographed show with backhoes, it was ridiculous:

I operated a forklift in high school when I was working construction. OSHA would have flipped.

I did at a lumber company. Once while unloading a truck full of redwood (2"x12"x20' bundles) I almost dropped it on my co-worker. Scared the shit out of me.

Worked in a warehouse for almost 5 years in the army. Put over 10,000 hours on a normal 2k, a 5k and a 10k. I got a lot skills from it. I also got my fingertip cut off working with a forklift. My type of vehicle.
