like over 10 years ago I used to go to the first Unitarian church and places like that. anyone into those scenes at all, even if you arent from phili? how do you find shows to go to?

Nah, I go into Trenton for underground punk/indie/metal/hip-hop. Takes me like 30 seconds to get there and there's always parking.

Going to those types of shows in Philly is how I spent the 2000's. First Unitarian. Khyber Pass. Troc. Balcony Bar. 4040.

thanks man. I remember the Troc. I guess I'm looking to just enjoy the music, make some friends and maybe meet some chicks.

Philly is an amazing place for live music. In that regard I wish I still lived there.

Hell yeah dude!

Kung Fu Necktie is probably my favorite. Just saw U.S. Bombs play there a couple months ago.

Johnny Brendas, Boot & Saddle, Ortliebs, Connies, and Voltage are all great little hole-in-the-wall indie/punk venues too.

Not sure if the Barbary still has shows (I know they changed ownership recently) but that was one of my favorites as well.

I might be in town to see NOFX play this coming sunday afternoon at Morgan's Pier, followed by the Dwarves playing kung fu necktie sunday night.

Broncho is a pretty cool indie band playing Johnny Brenda's this friday night. Might go to that as well.
