How many guys do you know who have been part of multiple non-title fights that were PPV headliners?

The story goes "What a shame he got 5 years for weed and got too old before he could fight again"

But what people don't know is they appealed that down to just ~1 year, the ban would be lifted august 2016.
But because Nick didn't pay NSAC I think the ban was prolonged.
He still could've fought in 2016... unless he refused to report his location for drug tests.
So he got an entirely separate suspension for a year between april 2017 to april 2018.

Nick COULD've fought in 2018, just 3 years after the initial weed ban.
But nah he wasn't happy with his deal, so he spent three years negotiating and then came back chubby in 2021.

Despite both their success(es), had they fought more often and acted more professionally, holy shit the money Conor could have earned, or records and streaks Jon really had run.

I think this is a really great shout and has more hallmarks of a throwaway pinnacle.
He retired on top but couldn't stick with it.
Left it too long and scraped the icing off his own cake.

Guy wasn't making that much money and then he sat out being super annoying to negotiate with for like a year if anyone remembers, and had a crazy weight miss around the same time vs Vettori. Then he got a new contract with UFC which gave him a shitload more money.
