Anyone feel that UFC already has too many weight classes?

I thought of this because right now, no division is particularly deep at the championship level.

FLW: One Man Show
BW: Dillashaw rematches?
FW: logjam after Ortega
LW: peaking with Khabib vs. Tony
WW: complete disaster.
MW: see WW
LHW: waiting for Cormier to go HW
HW: good champ, but division is waiting for a savior

I just wonder if a realignment with one less weight class might allow for more high-level depth....

Why is WW a disaster? It's a tremendous division with lots of elite top guys.

Only because of all the pathetic WMMA divisions.

FLW, LHW, and HW are the only ones that aren't great right now. So, the smallest and the biggest. Everything in the middle is just fine.

Agreed. The only problem was that contenders were sitting around trying to politic for ideal match ups. A bunch of good fights have been made in the past 48 hours.

Also, LOL @ there being a logjam at FW. Fights have been made, the next contender will emerge organically.

And double LOL @ criticizing 135. You've got TJ, necktat, Assuncao, Moraes, Riviera, Cruz etc. That's a shitload of talent at the top. That's the main reason why I was against the TJ/DJ fight. 125 may be barren, but 135 sure as hell isn't.

I love me some Women's Featherweight Fights.

All 4 of them.

I wouldn’t want to add any more.

The glory days and absolute peak of the UFC:

5 weight classes. Every champion was a superstar. No watered down PPVs. Everyone was watching.

I prefer the old days of only 5 weight classes but since we can never go back to that, I'd rather them just do a weight class every 10lbs up to 205 and get rid of 170.

No. The UFC has too many log jams. More divisions could potentially solve this.

They need two more. 165 and 175. There aren't enough UFC events. For example, there is nothing happening this weekend and the following weekend.

Make 125/135 into 130

Cut WMMA

keep 45/55/70/85/05/65

but cut the bum level fighters

too many fighters in the ufc
too many shitty cards
spamming cards like how Zuffa did but Zuffa were selling up anyway
the sport isn't growing
it's peaked
stop destroying the fans left
spamming cards in the US and yet they have no increase in viewers ignoring europe/asia

WW, LW, and FW are some healthy classes I think the ufc has a good amount of weight classes... cutting classes will just make more problems with weight cuts.

Ive between saying that for years every time people suggest a cruiserweight division. They should move ww ro 175 and add a 165 class since lw and ww have the largest rosters

You're just negative.

WSW: moving along nicely

BW: Not full of rematches, Rivera and Moraes are fresh contenders. The Cruz and Cody rematches are wanted by the fans. By the time these fights clear up, new challengers should arise.

FW: Also not a log jam. The winner of Frankie x Cub Is a win away from a title shot. Chad Mendes will be back soon. Jeremy Stephens is on a war path. Josh Emmett is still around. Elkins is on the streak of his career. Shit Korean Zombie is so popular I'm sure he's a win away from a TS.

LW: Peaking? More like you're reaching. With the log jam at the top, and hungry contenders throughout the rankings, this is easily one of the most entertaining divisions. Hence everyone's anticipation for 223.

WW: More nonsense from you. There's a champ, an interim title on the line. And plenty of interesting matchups. Till, Usman, RDA, Ponzi, Colby and Wonderbro are all scheduled to fight. I fail to see the disaster.

MW: This division is about to get some clarity. Gastelum or Jacare are next. How crazy would it be if Gastelum wins and he fights Whittaker (should he beat Romero again), two former WW's fighting for the undisputed MW title.

LHW: I understand

HW: Also I understand, but it's slowly been improving over the years. At least it isn't getting worse.

So really the only issues I see are WFW and Flw, the rest you're just a hater, maybe need more hobbies?
