If you want a good read, check out Game of Shadows.

It was written before the Armstrong scandal, but it talks a lot about the pressures to conform by cheating endured by athletes in track & field and baseball.

yeh, game of shadows is a cracking read highly recommended..

if people want a good book on the armstrong story, i highly recommend "wheelmen", but im slightly bias in that im credited in it..

Secret race is also an eye opener, but doesnt go over new ground if you have seen any of Ty's interviews or are familiar with the story, but some of the details are fascinating

It's something crazy like 27 of the last 30 Tour winners have tested positive. Eddy Merckx is considered the greatest cyclist ever. He's the Wayne Gretzky or Michael Jordan of cycling. He tested positive for banned substances 3 different times.
