Anyone ever had the opportunity to train under Takamasa Watanabe?

Just curious to what people's opinion is of his methods. I might be moving to Yokosuka, Japan within the next year and he's the only legitimate BJJ instructor that I know of that's remotely close to Yokosuka.

Never heard of him but I could ask.

Where is Yokosuka?

Yokosuka is in Japan, about 55 miles from Tokyo. Watanabe recently got his BB from Rickson in February I believe, after turning down multiple offers from other instructors to be promoted.

Check your pm man.

When I lived in Japan, I trained with one of his bluebelt students. He was great to train with and ran circles around me with his technique. He had nothing but good things to say about his training with Takamasa.

sorry in England we don;t get those facilities, well not at least in the dojo's i been 2

I know, they look very nice...showers and all

Rodrigo's new place in which were moving to in a week or so will be much similar for the BJJ side plus it'll have a boxing ring and other stuff...gearing to a more MMA friendly environment.

Our current place is small compared to the # of people we have training on a regular basis and is limited to pretty much grappling other then the bamboo kick sticks and big ass banana bag.

omg, why dont' we have places like that over here?
